4241 - POLE CRADLE The E-Z up Pole Cradle provides an easy and simple way of lifting poles into position for framing. It saves time because it is a one man operation. When used in conjunction with a cant hook the cradle uses a simple cam principle of rocking the pole off the ground and up.

Designed for the working professional in sensitive environments where overhead lifting is required. Certificate of compliance is provided. Certified with a working load limit of 2970 lbs. Each tarp has a unique serial number provided to facilitate tracking, and inspection protocols.

SCREW ANCHOR DRIVE TOOL STRINGSSelecting the correct Kelly Bar Adapter is key to building a successful Drive String. Follow these two easy steps:

1) Remove the auger from the digger and carefully measure the X and Y dimensions of the Kelly bar.

2) Match the shape of the Kelly bar and the X and Y dimensions with the Kelly bar adapter chart provided on page 120. The Y dimension on the Kelly bar adapter must be equal to or greater than the “Y” dimension on the Kelly bar itself.

NOTE: Chance anchor installing tools are provided with appropriate bolt circles for the expected service. The torque limitations for the three standard bolt circles are give below. Never exceed the rated torque of any Chance installing tool.

SAT-85 - SCREW ANCHOR TOOLThe SAT-85 screw anchor tool is used for installing and removing anchors without having to remove the auger. Slip the SAT-85 over the pilot, lock, and you are ready to attach your anchor.

CAUTION: The SAT-85 is for installation of anchors. You may use it to remove anchors as long as the u-bolt is securely in place. Failure to meet these precautions may cause safety hazards.

MANTA RAY ANCHOR SYSTEMThe MANTA RAY anchor is designed to drive into the ground at any desired angle which makes it effective to install for many utility projects. The patented drive radius feature helps the anchor remain on a straight drive path. The chipping-edges help the anchor break through layers of hard soil with a small profile before the large profile of the wings and shackle encounter the hard soil.The Manta Ray Utility Anchor System is used by electric utilities and telecoms worldwide. Manta Ray’s are driven into the ground, not augured or torqued. No hole is necessary, and there is no disturbance or displacement of soil. The anchors are driven with conventional hydraulic/pneumatic equipment that is readily available worldwide. Once driven to the proper depth, the anchor rod attached to the anchor is pulled to rotate the anchor into undisturbed soil like a toggle bolt. This is called “Anchor Locking” the anchor (using the Manta Ray Anchor Load Locker). The anchor is pulled on to reach the holding capacity required which is measured by a gauge on the Anchor Load Locker. Each anchor is immediately proof loaded to the exact capacity required. LL-1(165LBS.) & LL-2 (83LBS.) - LOAD LOCKERSWith these hydraulically powered Load Lockers, there is no need for large, costly truck equipment to install Manta Ray anchors. All that is needed is a load locker, a drive gad set,a standard jack hammer, and power source.

The load locker pulls up on the anchor to set it at the desired load capacity in the ground. Portable and lightweight, the load locker consists of a base plate and a hydraulic ram.

The same hydraulic hoses used to power the jackhammer are connected to the load locker. The gauge on the load locker tells the installer the exact amount of load on the anchor. “No other anchor system takes the guesswork out of anchoring like Manta Ray.”

TEMPORARY DUCKBILL GUY ANCHORSThese labor and time saving Duckbill Utility Anchors for temporary guying of utility poles were developed especially for the utility industry. These anchors will not rust or corrode, and their cables are high strength galvanized steel.
