SPORTS NEWS Hi All, A huge

to Mr Mclntosh (6TL Teacher) who coached the Queensland U12's Basketball Team to a National Championship last week which was held in Bendigo. Mr Mac's Queensland Team defeated Victoria 63 - 40 in the Gold Medal final. Mr Mac is the first rookie coach to win the National Championship in 18 years. A fantastic effort as generally it's extremely difficult to beat Victoria who have won 24 National titles compared to the second closest Queensland who have won 5 since the Championships started. The Queensland appointment and this great win is a fantastic reward for Mr Mac and his commitment to Primary schools basketball having coached at Regional level for many years.

INTERSCHOOL SPORT Good luck to all of our Year 5 and 6 students who are participating in their chosen Interschool sport this Friday. Students will participate in Interschool sport for four consecutive Fridays with and against all schools in the Nambour District. It should be a great experience for our students, and one that they are all very much looking forward to. Mr Mckie P & C NEWS YANDINA STREET FAIR A massive thank you to Summer for organising the Stall and the many volunteers who helped make it a success. It was a great opportunity to showcase the school to the local community especially when the Marimba Band were rocking the stage.

FATHER’S DAY STALL BAKING/PACKING DAY Wednesday 28th August We really need some volunteers from 8:45 at the Tuckshop. We have to bake biscuits, finish off the make a cookie jar and pack the gifts. It’s also a great opportunity for new families to meet some of our lovely parents.

We need at least 3-4 volunteers for each hour that the Stall is open. Gerard will post a roster on Facebook or come and see us at school. FUN FRIDAY - INFLATABLE RIDES 13 September 2:30-5:30pm Armbands will go on sale from Wednesday 4th September from the uniform shop. Aaron Walker has kindly offered to do a drumming workshop from 2:30-3:30pm. Mr Pead is going to showcase the talents of the Marimba Bands. The night will finish with a rocking display from our very own Rock Band. It will be a really fun afternoon for all with yummy food and drinks for all on sale. P AND C MEETING 10th September in the library at 6:30pm Come along and have your say. BUNNINGS SAUSAGE SIZZLE at Noosa Saturday 21 September Gerard will be posting a roster for this event in the next week or two. It would be great if we could have at least 3 volunteers for each shift. DISABLED PARKING ZONE

We try to teach our children to respect others in our school, and it is imperative that adults do likewise. We appeal to all parents and carers to respect our Disabled Parking Zone and not use it as a drop off zone. We have genuinely disabled parents and visitors to the school who rely on easy access, so please do not park in this zone unless you hold an official Disability Parking Permit.
