To Record your This I Believe essay using iMovie

Take a current photo of yourself or import one to iPhoto. This photo will show while your

voice over plays

Open iMovie and create a new project. Do not select a theme.

Click on the camera and import your photo by dragging it into the clips area.

Click on the small icon in the corner of the photo to change the duration of the image. Use Clip adjustments.

Change the clip duration to 3:00 (three minutes) so that your photo will stay on screen during your entire voice over.

Click on the arrow again and turn off the ken burns effect. You can select crop or fit.

Click on the mic and record your essay using “voice over”. You must click on your first clip to record. Click on the clip to stop recording when you are finished.

Click Share and export your movie to your desktop using Quicktime—save it as your first and last name please.
