Our process goes through 4 stages: Stage 1 - ConceptUnderstanding clients’ needs through a close dialogue with the client/designer and DIB team. An initial concept is then developed consisting of the lighting layout, sketches, types of fixtures and estimated budget.

Stage 2 - Design DevelopmentDeveloping the final layout, detail design, fixtures’ specifications, lux count if judged necessary and final budget.

Stage 3 - SupplySupplying the lighting fixtures with technical specifications fitting the relevant design.

Stage 4 - ImplementationLiaising with the electrical contractor on site to ensure the proper installation.

DIB Lighting is based in UAE, Kuwait and Lebanon and is composed of a multi-disciplinary team of lighting designers, product designers and electrical engineers who are specialized in providing architectural lighting design services to residential and commercial projects in the Middle East and Gulf Area.

Our philosophy is to achieve the optimal lighting scheme by marrying aesthetics and functionality and working closely with our clients through all project phases: from concept to design, supply and implementation.

CONCEPTIn order to keep the ceiling of the double volume clean from lighting fixtures, we created a groove and hid the lighting inside. As a result, the entire double volume was illuminated.

CONCEPTA jewelry store located at Zaitunay Bay is illuminated by incorporating all the lights inside the mannequin capsule thus keeping the ceiling of the store clean from all lighting fixtures. To illuminate the table showcasing the jewelry, we incorporated in it a dynamic custom made lighting.

CONCEPTFollowing the design of this spa which is inspired by the Japanese zen garden with its use of pebbles and dark calming colors, the lighting follows the architecture and accentuates the floating islands and functional areas only while also incorporating custom-made bamboo shaped fixtures that follow the general mood of the space.

CONCEPTWith a level distribution of light among the entire workout area with elliptical fixtures, this health club was lit to create a suited environment for exercising. To accent the mirrors and the curved corridor, directional protruding downlights were used to highlight these features.The line of sight from the entrance of the health club ends with the view of the custom made fixture that was fixated across the void.

CONCEPTThe landscape consists of a pathway with linear lines. We lit the space by connecting visually the linear lines of the pathway with vertical lines through using spotlights and projectors at the end of these lines.

CONCEPTThe garden’s beauty was accentuated by highlighting the different levels of the garden with linear wall wash lights, and by lighting the tree trunks, the stairs and by giving the patio a floating effect.

CONCEPTIt was all about keeping it simple with a big effect. By using a perforated cylinder that gave us a source of light and shadow, we were able to turn this arabesque lighting fixture into a piece of art, giving all the space a defined identity.

CONCEPTSea view is an avenue of restaurants next to the sea, with a common courtyard for all the shops’ seatings. We united these seating areas by constructing a metal structure in an organic matter that resembles the sting ray fish.

CONCEPTBAMBOO is a modern lighting fixture that was inspired byseaweed; the long poles upon which the tubular lights aremounted sway gently in the breeze, creating a sense ofperpetual movement while its see-through nature allows for thestunning sea views to remain uninterrupted. At once private,yet open, the seating area on the rooftop is both deeplyintimate and bathed in light.

CONCEPTThe applique BOUGIE, at once high & low-tech, integrates a narrow beam electrical spotlight below and a wax candlelight above. The wall hung steel cylinder hides both sources of light that appear to float and levitate.
