Happy Father’s Day! At the end of our service today, we will recognize and pray for dads. I will share a video on how children see their dads.

Many have made positive comments about our Sunday nights with our focus on “Jonah in June.” There will be no Sunday night service tonight (June 17) because of Father’s Day, but the last “Jonah in June” will be on Sunday night, June 24. Join us.

Sunday nights in July will be different each week and will be exciting. Please note the information in the bulletin concerning SUNDAY NIGHTS IN JULY.

This coming week, June 18-22, I will be attending the American Baptist Associational Messenger Meeting in Lexington, Kentucky. The A.B.A. is the national association we fellowship with, and we will be recommending two of our missionaries for financial support. Those missionaries being sent out by our church are Juan Gallegos in Mexico and Shin Kamoda serving in Japan.

There will be a short business meeting on Sunday night, June 24, at 4:45 p.m. in the Worship Center. We need to grant a church letter request, financial report for May, and share information on the pastor search team.

KIDS KAMP 2018 June 25 - 29

Scholarships in the amount of $95 are needed. Any amount of donation is much appreciated and will benefit children otherwise unable to attend.

Parents, please note there will be NO K-1st CHAPEL for the summer. Please have your K-1st children sit with you during service. Chapel WILL be available for Preschool children only.

July 1 - Movie Night at Church 5:00 p.m. “I Can Only Imagine” will be shown in the Worship Center

with an intermission time for snacks and restroom break. We’ll have popcorn, drinks and snacks.

At the same time, in Room 200, The Wild Life” will be shown for children. There will also be games and activities, as well as snacks, for the children. Invite a friend for this special evening at the movies!

July 8 - Calvary Grill Night at Pine Springs Our Sunday evening service will be offsite at Pine Springs Baptist Camp. We will have swimming and games from 3:00-5:00 p.m. and dinner at 5:00 p.m. We will have various grilled meats and hot dogs, along with beans and fixin’s. Bring a dessert to share!

July 15-19 - Vacation Bible School 6:00-8:30 p.m.

Vacation Bible School is one of our church’s biggest outreaches to our community. Please invite neighborhood children to be a part of this special week. We still need volunteers. See Mrs. Susan for more information.

July 22 - HUG ON HENDERSON 5:00 p.m. We will encourage our members to participate in some various service projects in the afternoon and then meet at Calvary at 5:00 p.m. for light foods and home-made ice cream.

Some of the service projects include bingo at nursing homes, feeding the Fire Department, and assisting with collections for the Children’s Advocacy Center and the Animal Shelter.

July 29 - 5th Sunday, Sunday School Class Fellowships Night Our adult Sunday School classes will be given the opportunity to fellowship. We will not have evening service at church in order to give extra time for these class fellowships.

We will not have Evening Worship Service tonight in order to

allow families to spend time together. Enjoy your evening!
