DT – Textiles – Designing a fabric bookmark.
Create a colourful mood board for your final bookmark design.
Last week, you produced plans for your bookmark.
You should now know what colours, stitches, patterns etc the person you have chosen to design your bookmark for likes.
Now, it is time to collate all of those findings into a mood board. Examples of mood boards are below. Your mood board will allow you to see everything together so you can see which colours, patterns and textures match best.
Computing: Digital literacy
Watch the videos to learn about digital literacy https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zv63d2p
Visit https://hourofcode.com/us/learn
Select ‘Grade 2-5’ on the tabs at the top of the screen.
Here are a selection of games that require your coding skills. Remember to ‘debug’ the code
(solve the problems in the instructions) in order to achieve your target!
Now it’s time to create a mood board.
Here are a few examples of mood boards.
Remember your mood board will be created
for your final design you planned last week.
It should include a colour palette (the colour
that has been requested by your chosen
person) and examples of texture, stitches
and drawing that you will include on your
bookmark.
Your mood board can be created on A4
paper/card or on the computer.
If you have been in Miss Stone’s Fashion
and Design after school club you will be
used to a colourful mood board.
