the story. They are related to memorable details; focus on these characters: the Knight, Squire, Nun (Prioress), the Monk, the Friar, the Wife of Bath, the Parson, and the Pardoner.

Group ActivityToday, everyone will be given a group number. Next class groups

will meet, prepared with answers to these basic questions:

1. In your own words, briefly describe the character (s) you were assigned.

2. Point to some quotes from the text to support your overall assessment of the character (s).

3. Explain whether or not the text implies there is some flaw in the character (s).
