INTRODUCTIONSAME AS WALKING WITH GOD, AND WALKING BY FAITH, IT IS IMPORTANT TO WALK WITH PRAYER.

“TOGETHER BY PRAYER”

WHY?

BECAUSE OUR GOD, LORD, SAVIOR AND FOUNDER OF THE CHURCH EMPHASIZED IT THROUGH HIS LIFE HERE ON EARTH

PRAYER LIFE OF OUR FOUNDER

Matthew 26:36“Then cometh Jesus with them

unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit

ye here, while I go and pray yonder.”(KJV)


MARK 1:35“And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.”(KJV)


Luke 3:21“Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and

praying, the heaven was opened,”(KJV)


JOHN 17:9“I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which

thou hast given me; for they are thine.”(KJV)

PRAYERS AND PRAYER MEETINGS ARE THE MARKS OF THE

CHURCH OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST!

WE OATH TO CONTINUE WHAT THE LORD BUILT, AND KEPT BY EARLY CHRISTIANS

BUT WHAT IS HAPPENING TODAY?Leonard Ravenhill wrote these convincing words years ago. Are still true today?

WHAT IS HEPPENING TODAY• The church has many

organizers,• many who pay•many resters•many who are enterprising

• but few agonizers

• but few who pray• but few wrestles• but few who are interceding

People who are not praying are playing!!!.

Two prerequisite of dynamic Christian living are vision and passion. Both of these are generated by prayer.

The ministry of preaching is open to few. The ministry of praying is open to every child of God.

Tithes may build the church (building), but tears will give it life

REMEMBER THAT THE CHURCH WAS PURCHASED BY THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Acts 20:28“Take heed therefore unto

yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with

his own blood.”(KJV)

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE MODERN AND EARLY CHURCH

MODERN CHURCH

•Our emphasis is on paying•When we have paid, the place is taken.

EARLY CHURCH

•theirs was on praying

•When they have prayed, the place was shaken (Acts 4:31).

THE LORD SAID…

Luke 18:1“And he spake a parable unto them [to this end], that men ought always to pray, and
