Children will have their photo- graphs taken individually and in family groups (this does includes the nursery children ). If you have any other pre-school children you wish to be included then please come to school between 8.30am and 8.45am. Menus To do our bit for the environment, on a trial basis, from Term 2, we shall not be sending out paper copies of the school dinner menus. The menus will be sent as usual via email, on the school website and order slips will be available in the school office. Orders can also be emailed to [email protected] . We would very much appreciate your support in this initiative. Thank you. Christmas Please note that the Y1 and Y2 Christmas Plays will take place on December 8 th at 1.30pm and December 9 th at 6.30pm. A letter will go out nearer the time for ticket requests. Year 5 Viking WoW Day

During this day , year 5 dressed up as

Vikings. They tasted some Viking

bread made by Daisy Darley, did a

Viking Quiz, played a top trumps game

(dragon style) and wrote in Dragonese.

They then joined up with the other

year 5 class and created a human

Longboat and practised rowing with

some music and Mr Roberts keeping

the rhythm with a drum.

There will be no Cooking Club on Tuesday 3rd November.

Cooking Club

for

cracking an egg perfectly into

his cake mixture without

getting shell into it!

School Council Elections

The children have been busy voting for

their new School Council. The successful

candidates will be announced shortly.

Woodland Collage

The children in Reception and KS1 who

have been working with Mrs Lane have

produced some lovely collage work

relating to their topic.

Year 2

Children in year 2 worked with Mrs

Lane to create some fantastic castles

which were all made from recycled

items!

Gardening Club

During gardening club this week

we harvested the runner beans

on Reception’s beanstalk and re

-potted the plant to save it

from the building work! We also

harvested sunflower seeds

from a sunflower head ready to plant next year.

Eco Club

The ECO Warriors at ECO club have been

busy making wind chimes out of natural

resources, old keys and bits of metal. They

make a lovely sound and everyone enjoyed

making these.

Tremors

The year 3 and 4 children have

been working very hard on their

‘Tremors’ projects, focussing on

Volcanoes. They will be presenting

this work to their parents on

Wednesday.

FS Scarecrow Competition

The children in Foundation Stage worked to-

gether to create scarecrows for their outdoor

areas. Mrs Goodsell judged the nursery scare-

crow with the winner being ‘The Cool Dude

Scarecrow’ and the parents in reception

voted for their winner ‘Dingle Dangle

Scarecrow’ with an impressive 22 votes!
