Since then, she has participated in each productionand has enjoyed bringing life to the roles of Lucy in Trouble atthe Tropicabana,MalaHariin Afraid of the Dark, Minimus in When in Rome, and Sadie Blue in Ihe Houndof Clarkeruilles. Dot Schuetze (Unders tudy)Finally, after 55 years of marriage, raising a son and daughter (twins),

working full time, retiring and moving to Heritage Hunt three years ago, I amenjoying fulfilling my one passion - theater, The lights, sets, make-up (no longerthe smell of grease paint), costumes and the wonderful actors has been delightful.

What a wonderful setting to encourage you to regain what once was. Allthrough my childhood, adolescence, and as a young adult, lenjoyed participatingin amateur productions. At Heritage Hunt ldebuted inWhen in Rome as theAttendant to the Princess, and then as Brunhilda in Hound of the Clackeruillesand am now enjoying watching the fourwomen inThe Cemetery C/ub mold intotheir unique characters, and learning so much from our accomplished director,Bets. This has been an incredible opportunity.

S i l Z in ico la (Sam)All of my experience in theater has been with HHLT and I have enjoyed

every part I played. I have loads of Fun. My previous roles have been a crazyCivil War General in Afraid of the Dark,a brutal GladiatorinWhen in Rome, awhacky Deputy Sheriff in Hounds of the Clackervilles. As you can see, I haveenjoyed some very funny and crazy parts. In this recent play, Ihe CemeteryClub, lplay alewish butcher. No, this is not a play by Steven King about a serialkiller who chops older women up. I am a real butcher*the kind that chops upbeef and chicken and is a regular guy. This part has been a challenge for mebecause it was easy to be whacky and crazy but normal is tough. The director, crew and cast are great and I am still having loads of Fun.

The Heritage Hunt Little TheaterOn a cold snowy evening in January 2003, The Heritage Hunt Little Theater

was founded by Bets Knepley. In spite of the dreary frigid weather, thirty-sevenHeritage Hunt residents showed up. Much was accomplished at the first meeting-bylaws, officers and a name were chosen, and the first play selected. And the rest,as they say, "is history."

During the four years of our existence, in addition to producing two plays ayear, we have developed several unique branches. The first was the ReadersTheater which met twice a month. lts purpose was to help members hone theirtheatricalskills by reading plays and performing skits and monologues. The Read-ers Theater eventually evolved into The workshop which is open to all HHresidents. The Workshop meets once a month. During these sessions, varioustheatricaltopics are discussed. Some of these discussions are led by litle theatermembers and others, by professionals in the theatricalworld. The Workshop isn'talways serious. The upcoming May Workshop is a search throughout Heritage Huntforthe first Heritage Hunt lDoL. The workshop coordinator is Bets Knepley.

A relat ively new service of HHLT is the Travel ing Theater Troupe, whichis our community outreach program. l t was organized this year by ina Mayerwith Joey Wagner as the contact coordinator.

Litt le Theater also offers a monthly newslette r, ptay Time, produced byBets Knepley and a websi te, hhl i t f letheater.org, kept current by web master,R ick Su l l i van .
