Level site up to 12” out of level for free. More than 12” there will be an excavation fee. $200 minimum. 2. Install pool to manufacturer’s specifications or better. 3. Use mason sand or clay for base of pool. And compact with plate compactor. 4. Use 8”x8” patio blocks under each vertical support and under each deck support if applicable. 5. Assemble/install the skimmer, return, and pump/filtration system including all hoses. Solar, gas, or electric heaters should be installed by a pool heater specialist. Some saltwater systems may not be included in basic installation. Ask for details. 6. If you have a chlorinater to install, be sure you have all necessary hoses, clamps, etc. 7. Place excavated earth, or debris (grass, soil, rocks, roots, etc), within 75 feet of pool site in a pre-marked location. 8. Leave empty boxes stacked neatly in homeowner’s yard. Tom Gaudet Construction Corporation Will Not: 1. Do any landscaping of pool site. 2. Do any electrical work. We will give you referral. 3. Supply water or wait for water to fill pool. Water trucks should be scheduled to come 24-72 hrs after there has been 12-18” of water in pool stretching liner. Filling too soon may cause damage to pool and/or liner. 4. Guarantee a wrinkle free or footprint free liner. Every effort will be made to eliminate both. 5. Be responsible for damage to lawn or landscape from equipment used. Due to slope of yard, drainage (or lack of), and recent rainfall or winter melt our equipment may leave tracks or ruts gaining access to, or near the install site. Every effort will be made to prevent damage. 6. Assemble or install the ladder or entry system. Due to insurance restrictions we are unable to grant access into water. We will assemble and install ladder that ascends from ground to deck only if applicable. The Customer`s Responsibility is To: 1. Mark out the pool according to the building codes for your city or town regarding distances from pool to dwellings, property lines, fences, etc. along with town requirements for entry system and fencing. Mark round pools with one center stake. Mark oval pools with a stake at each of the “four corners”. Mark pump and filter with two stakes and debris location with three stakes. Be sure what you purchase complies with town safety codes. 2. Get a permit from your town before construction begins, if necessary. As far as I know all cities and towns require a permit. I will provide you with all necessary documents. You do the legwork. If you insist on me getting permit, add $300 3. Provide access for bobcat excavation (six feet minimum clearance is needed). If I cannot get bobcat into work area, there may be an additional fee. Cars, trashcans, fences, trampolines, furniture, toys, etc. should be cleared before we arrive. 4. Inform us of any/all subsurface issues. (i.e. irrigation, septic, water lines, gas lines, electrical, etc.) Failing to do so may cause future problems. 5. Provide a “live” electrical source for our tools and a working water source with enough hose to reach the pool to begin filling. 6. Fill the pool with 12-18 inches of water immediately, stop filling, and allow liner to stretch for 24-72 hours depending on sunlight and temperatures. 7. Place crushed stone, 3-4 inches up the wall, around the entire perimeter of the pool before it is completely filled to prevent washouts and avoid damage to liner. This minimizes erosion and prolongs the life of the pool. 8. Know the retailer’s and/or manufacturer’s policy regard defective liners. In the unlikely event that the liner is defective, it is the costumer’s responsibility to locate said defect and supply a new liner. We will provide labor to install new liner at no cost.
