Youth Group News Greetings from the youth director! We have a bunch of events coming up the rest of this month as I said last week, so this week I will be giving y’all more detailed info about what’s coming up. On Wednesday of this week, Nov. 19th, we will have our second-ever praise and worship night in the church from 7:00 to 8:00 PM All youth group members and parents are in-vited to come and worship for an hour with us, and please spread the word if you enjoyed the experience last month. Friday, November the 21st, we will have a movie night from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. We only have the chairs already in the parish hall to sit on to watch the movie, so if you have a bean bag chair or lawn chair please bring it along so that you have a comfortable place to sit. Both youth groups are invited. And don’t worry, there will be lots of popcorn! I look forward to seeing y’all there. Last Sunday we had small group discussions about the Gospel with a little help from our young adults in the parish, so I would like to extend a special thank-you to those who helped me out. I think it was a great success. I hope everyone is having a great week, and I look forward to all the fun events we have coming up during the Advent and Christmas seasons! In Christ, Stephen M. Sylvester

CCD News

We need a few CCD moms and dads to help with clean-up after refreshments or even to help provide refreshments. There are a few already helping, and it would be great if everyone would pitch in and help. The first Pre-K CCD class was a success. Look for the next one the first Sunday in December.

Parish Release

Saint Benedict Catholic School

November 11, 2014 Prayer education begins early at Saint Benedict Catholic School. Students learn common prayers by reciting them daily at the beginning and end of the school day. With month long repetition even the youngest among us can learn the Glory Be, Our Father, Hail Mary, Memorare, The Act of Con-trition, The Guardian Angel Prayer, The Apostles Creed and others. Prayer before meals, with our classes and of course, during Mass add to our times of communication with the Lord. We are grateful for these many opportunities to allow Christ into our hearts.

Saturday Night Chillin’ Supper Social November 22nd after 6pm Mass. Please come and bring a favorite chili,

dish, dessert or just yourself!

Ladies Society News…..

We are going to try something a little different for the Spring Festival.

Thanks Again!

Baldwin County Catholic High School Capital Campaign

The Campaign (now at $8.9 million with 1370 donors) continues to

grow. In fact, on Tuesday, Nov. 18th at 7:00 AM on Archangel Ra-

dio, Archbishop Rodi plans to give an update on the Campaign,

and—we hope—will have some exciting news about what could

happen in terms of moving forward with construction. Everyone is

invited to support this new Catholic high school and tune in on

Nov. 18th

Feast of Christ the King

The annual Archdiocesan celebration of the Feast of Christ the King will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2014. There will be a Christ the King procession with the recitation of the Rosary beginning at 10:30 AM in Bienville Square in downtown Mobile. Mass will begin at 11:00 AM at the Cathedral-Basilica of the Immaculate Conception. During the Mass, Archbishop Rodi will confer the annual Christ the King Medal to a member from each parish in recognition of their exemplary service to the parish community.
