The scrolls also tell us that the pyramids kept getting broken into by robbers. So instead of burying the pharaohs in pyramids, the Egyptians started burying them in tombs, in a place called the Valley of the Kings.
The Valley of the Kings is a rugged, rocky place. It was easierto hide the tombs and their treasures.
