The adventure we started together last year continues. Leave the boring reality of everyday life behind as you step into this magical universe. The Arising of Life has landed on American soil, with its magnificent mainstage and a line-up the grandeur of which can hardly be described in words. We are ready to embark on this journey with you, in search of the essence of life itself.

Your guides into the world of Tomorrow have consolidated their strength and knowledge into factions bearing names such as OWSLA, Mad Decent and Dim Mak. Twerk to Diplo, listen to your Rave Dad Dillon Francis

and behold the power of 3 Are Legend. If you’re longing for some extra raw tunes, Q-dance will take care of you with Psyko Punkz, the beautiful Lady Faith and Belgian superstar Coone. If you’re still a bit woozy when you wake up at DreamVille and want to ease your way into the day softly, check out the minimal shrine of Minus with Richie Hawtin, Maceo Plex and Gaiser.

Speaking of DreamVille, we can’t wait to meet you there! More than just a campsite, DreamVille is the place where you make new friends for life. It’s where you talk about your adventures of the day, huddled around a random tent. ‘Cause mi casa es su casa. Get your freshly baked bread at the baker, or a newly cut, delicious steak at the butcher’s.

Stretch your weary muscles during yoga class at the Gathering stage, early in the morning. Raging all weekend, after all, is sure to take a toll on your body. Not ready to head into the madness of the festival yet? DreamVille offers a variety of fun games to play, like horseshoe and lif- size chess. If you haven’t found your significant other yet, there’s speed dating to help get things moving. All in all, DreamVille is far from being just a campsite. It’s our home away from home, our safe haven for this magical weekend.

Welcome home once again. Feeling a bit weary from the long journey, are you? Don’t worry, that’ll pass very, very soon. The Gathering, the official start of TomorrowWorld, is just around the corner. Have you set up your tent yet? Put on your dancing shoes? Great, let’s begin! Or rather, let’s continue, as the party started the moment you arrived at the gates. The first of many memorable moments is waiting for you!

The Gathering, what to say about it? Over the years past, it established itself not only as the official opening for every edition of Tomorrowland (and TomorrowWorld, ever since the first one

last year) but as something more. Here’s where you’ll meet new buddies, paving the way for a weekend to hold dear. Here’s where the madness that is TomorrowWorld first takes shape. Here’s where life as we want it to be starts. As you finish up installing yourself at Dreamville, the first of many beats drift across the terrain. What’s that, you ask? It’s the Gathering, already in full effect. Hurry, hurry! Even though it will go on for hours to come, you want to experience every drop, every minute to the fullest! Seal up your tent, double check if you’ve got everything you need and shuffle onto the stage as quickly as you can! Seriously, let’s shuffle. That would be a sight to

behold, only shuffling ravers on their way to house heaven. Could someone film that for us please? Tonight, DVBBS is waiting for you. Vaski’s waiting for you. M4Sonic is waiting for you. Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike are waiting for you, together with Yves V. Luckily, it’s an open air stage, otherwise the roof would surely come down. Don’t hold back just because it’s the first of many parties. Your tent is only a few steps away, so don’t worry about how you’ll get back. While anxiously waiting for the first ‘big’ day, tomorrow, the Gathering fulfills your need to go hard, to go crazy and to go happy in every way imaginable. So, come on. Let’s dance!

It was a highly anticipated event, and that’s an understatement. After years of seeing how people got to experience Tomorrowland ‘at the other side of the pool’, the best festival in the world finally set foot on American soil. Yes, finally it was our moment. As you walked across the bridge between DreamVille and TomorrowWorld, flames shot up into the air, expressing the burning desire inside each and everyone. Some were seen touching the many rich decorations of the festival, in sheer disbelief that this all was real. Under the all-seeing eyes of the Book of Wisdom and the blissful sun we danced. From dusk ‘till dawn, we danced.

In a time when the EDM community was struggling to claim a spot in mainstream culture, TomorrowWorld set a new standard. Under the scrutiny of the media and lawmakers, the festival turned out to be the perfect example of what our culture really is about: to celebrate the moment and the music with friendly people in a safe and beautiful environment. As usual, a lot of people brought their flags, highlighting the international character of TomorrowWorld. If PLUR ever was to be manifested in a material form, no doubt it was in the form of TomorrowWorld.

The Gathering, the pre-party at Dreamville, was simply off the hook. Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike smashed the place up alongside fellow Belgian pioneer and face of Tomorrowland, Yves V. As far as people were wondering if the famous ‘Belgian vibe’ could manifest itself in America as well, that question was answered with a compelling and loud ‘hell yeah!’. The spirit of Boom, Belgium, had come along with the incredible mainstage and found a new home in the Chattahoochee Hills. And that’s no surprise, as you all made it feel right at home with your smiles, stories and exquisite dance moves.

But that’s enough dwelling on the past. As the world of Tomorrow enters its 11th year, it’s taking over the world by storm. During Tomorrowland a couple of months ago, loyal fan and superstar DJ David Guetta announced that the fairytale would be travelling to Brazil next year. Soon everybody across the globe will have the opportunity to be part of this unique fairytale. Tomorrow is coming to you sooner than you’d expect, kid! But for now, enjoy The Arising of Life to the fullest. We’ll be seeing you soon, wandering the grounds engulfed in joy, music, happiness and love.

YoUr gATewAY To TomorrowWhere is my favorite DJ playing? Where can I get something to eat? I need to pee, is there a toilet nearby? Who did I see perform just now? These are all important questions that may run through your head during the festival. No worries, we’ve got you covered. Just download the official TomorrowWorld app on your mobile phone! That way, you’ll be right on the money, always and everywhere, with all the latest info. You won’t have to miss a thing with your personal timetable and floorplan. The weekend’s too short to be searching for stuff, after all.

As we are all in this together, we urge you to look out for each other. Always help out a friend – or even a stranger – who’s not feeling well. They may end up helping you someday! If you don’t know what to do, check in with

the medical staff present on the festival grounds and on DreamVille. The First Aid tents are open 24 hours a day. Also, there will be teams roaming the terrain. They’re always just around the corner if you need them!

wATer is lifeAttending a weekender is fun, but nonetheless doesn’t come easy. While out on the festival’s holy grounds, dancing in the sun, drinking with friends, please take good care of yourself. TomorrowWorld offers free water at designated refresh spots, where you can fill up your cup with liquid energy for no cost at all. Water is a basic human right, and it should be freely available for anyone at any time. Party hard, but party responsibly!

sHow off THe loVeAs TomorrowWorld is a country, a nation of its own, it comes with its own attire to be worn proudly by its inhabitants. The official fashion of TomorrowWorld is available on both the festival terrain and DreamVille. Show the folks at home you’re one of the People of Tomorrow, and get your own cap, shirt, flag or one of the other items at the stands. These can be found across the foodcourt at the magnificent mainstage, and at the Marketplace on DreamVille. Just like a great track, a piece of TomorrowWorld fashion is made by the memories attached to it. So go get something, wear it proudly and show it off during the festival. This way, when you’re home tired and homesick for TomorrowWorld, you can put it on, turn on your favorite dance track and feel like you’re back here, dancing in your living room!

A festival running at the forefront of dance music’s development doesn’t need actual cash. TomorrowWorld uses digital tokens. You can upload the amount of your choice onto the bracelet and get a drink (or a joyful little snack). $20 buys you 9 tokens, which you can use at every food & beverage stand.

DreamVille welcomes you, the tired traveler, with open arms. For the upcoming weekend, this campsite will be your home away from home. But as the title on the opposite says, DreamVille isn’t just a

campsite. It’s a playground, full of fun, friends and activities. So sit down, unpack and take a look at the most vibrant village in the

world of Tomorrow.

For those with strained muscles from all the heavy backpacks and suitcases, there are daily yoga sessions from 9 ‘till 10 a.m. Stretch, turn ‘n squeeze yourself into shape under the watchful eye of the Gathering stage. The Vinyasa Flow Yoga lessons given there are best described as ‘yogic dance’. Bring a towel or a mat and a bottle of water, and be prepared to sweat! If you’re not warmed up enough after that, starting at 11am there’s the Daily Bass Body Sessions. That’s pretty much what it sounds like. A workout program that fuses EDM with cardio, aerobics and dance moves, all to create a happy and especially healthy workout rave. Again, bring a towel and some water for this one.

If you’re not that sporty, you can also play a game of good old-fansioned Jenga, or go on a speed date. Chess doesn’t sound like something you’d expect at a festival like this, but if you replace the tiny pieces with, well, yourself, it becomes a whole lot more fun! Not into chess? There’s also life-size checkers! That’s set to become one big pile of limbs & laughter – just the way we like it.

You may need something to eat or drink as well, upon arrival. DreamVille has an entire Marketplace where you can find everything from a sleeping bag to a freshly baked bread or a cold drink. Everything you could possibly need to survive the weekend in style is available, so don’t worry if you lost your tent on the way here.

More than just a place to do cool stuff, DreamVille is a community. It hosts a special feeling of togetherness that you only know when you set up shop here. So let’s make it cozy and huddle up together; we’ll be seeing a lot of each other during the upcoming weekend. Smile! TomorrowWorld is here!

To love and enjoy today means to do your best for tomorrow, too. TomorrowWorld is always trying to keep its environmental impact as small as possible. The objective is to leave no trace of our stay at the Chattahoochee Hills after the weekend. You are kindly requested to dispose of your trash in the appropriate bins and to leave the terrain, with all of its beautiful plant life, as intact as possible. Mother Nature will surely give you her blessing for it, and who else but her could make life arise this weekend?

An empty phone can be a blessing at TomorrowWorld, as it’s one less distraction from all the wonders to behold. But you probably want a fully charged phone anyway, just in case. That’s why there are special lockers with chargers for iPhone and Android alike. They’re situated at the DreamVille Marketplace right by the entrance to TomorrowWorld, as well as next to the west entrance near the mainstage. For Special visitors there are lockers at the check-in tent. Renting a locker costs $75 for 5 full days of DreamVille, or $60 for 3 days at TomorrowWorld. ‘My phone’s empty’ is an excuse of the past!

During the nights, various light effects on the main road will escort you to your tent, stimulating that feeling of awesomeness and wonder you had all day. You may act like you don’t care, but you do. You may go nuts to Pegboard Nerds at the end of the day, but secretly spend the hours before listening to the minimal sounds of Richie Hawtin. You are the most patient potato here, and are able to take a step back and see the big picture. Arise beyond what you thought you were capable of with Laidback Luke, Skrillex or Nicky Romero; let the music pick you up and carry you to entirely new highs.

Whatever happens, happens. You don’t look too far ahead, you just enjoy the moment. As a calm personality, you follow the crowd. At TomorrowWorld, try to do something you’ve never done before! No, we don’t mean doing the dirty with strangers. But if everybody’s rushing to the mainstage for some artist, turn around and find someone like John Digweed. Or the sweet, powerful sound of grandmaster Ferry Corsten, who may just reveal a side of you that you’ve never encountered before!

Independence and freedom are the two things you stand for. It’s not unusual for a Scorpio to wander off and lose sight of their friends, who’ve left to see their favorite DJ. As long as you have an agreed point of return, you’ll be fine. It may come in handy to bring along a timetable, with your favorites marked in advance. TomorrowWorld welcomes you with so much to explore and to enjoy, your freedom might get you lost.

Yes, boys & girls, we are back in town. The love offensive continues. Oh yes, how we have grown! Did you know that throughout the radio broadcast of the European 10 year celebrations, there were over 52 million IP addresses logged on to the madness? Our time is now, People of Tomorrow. So as you enter the fairytale always remember: Respect, Tolerance Love & Understanding are the key features of an ever changing world. If you were lucky enough to be here last year, you will know what a special beginning it was to our second home. I know full well that all the artists were completely blown away. A few teething problems went unnoticed by the majority, and the crew responsible for fixing all the small issues will ensure this year’s event will be smoother still. Any area you choose this year will be jumping.

On a personal note, the one we call Avicii will not be joining us, and I for one am gutted yet at the same time glad to hear it. I’ve known Tim for about 5 years now and although a little shy, he is a lovely fella who is hugely talented and a workaholic. But seeing him at Tomorrowland was a scary thing. I like to hug, I’m good at hugging and everyone who knows me knows that. When Tim gave me a hug I knew right then he needed to be on a big break from everything. So through all you people reading this, let’s send our love, prayers & thoughts to Mr. Bergling. Get well soon, then take a holiday, get fat, then take another holiday, get fit, take another holiday and then continue with your destiny of making people smile...TomorrowWorld, know that this is the only place to be. It has been while since an active volcano erupted on US soil – not yet counting Yellowstone of course. But here it is. The most beautiful, dangerous-looking and beloved fire-spitting mountain we ever saw. Long have the hills of Chattahoochee been full of tremors, signs of something big coming this way. And as we all descend on the magnificent terrain, smoke in the distance reveals what we all hoped for; the TomorrowWorld volcano arising to spew its life-giving fire over thousands of ravers raging away. We’ve seen the pictures, we’ve seen the aftermovie. But nothing, absolutely nothing, compares to the real thing. Behold The Arising of Life as you enter the holy grounds tomorrow. Dance as one in the volcano’s shadow, gaze upon the incredible details and be overwhelmed by the lively sounds blasting through the speakers. We’ve made it. Now, let’s show the world we understand the true meaning of life; being together, unified through mutual understanding of music!

• The Volcano stage was shipped over from Belgium in 80 containers that traveled nearly 6000 miles to get here.

• Over 180.000 people experienced Belgium’s Arising of Life in 2013, and 16 million viewers tuned in to the madness online.

• Apart from a friendly fire-breathing Spirit of the Mountain, the mainstage is equipped with multiple waterfalls.

• All the pyrotechnics are completely computerized. The volcano will erupt multiple times a day.

These brothers from Brussels were born to be on a big stage in the limelight. glenn de Leener was drawn to the DJ scene at a young age, inspiring his brother mikey to try his hand at turntables, as well. after glenn taught mikey the art of spinning with style, the two brothers became partners under the name Stereo Killah in 2011.

With a deep passion for dance music and the ability to turn any space into an unforgettable party, this DJ duo is manifesting their dreams to become a worldwide sensation. This chart-topping production duo is taking the eDm scene by storm. Brothers Chris and alex andre from ontario, Canada began their musical careers making reggae and punk before finding their focus in electronic music.

While DVBBS was debuted only two years ago, the brothers have been playing music together for over a decade. They split the songwriting and production but Alex sings and Chris drums and DJs. Their eclectic electronic music style is characterized by the infusion of reggae, dub and house. Persian beauty Lady Faith is one of the most recognizable hardstyle artists in the USA. Heading her army of ‘faithful’, she’s spreading her hard hitting kicks throughout America just as fast as a hardstyle track is played. Even though the genre seems to be relatively new in America, it has been around in the underground for quite a while. Now that Q-dance has taken an interest in the US, however, hardstyle is finally on the verge of ‘making it big’. We sat down with the Lady to hear her view on all of this.

You’ve traveled the world spreading hardstyle, but what would you say is the most characteristic of the American sound? What’s your take on the sudden growth of the hard dance movement?“Americans like things to be different. Fortunately for the American producers, the fans have more tolerance for experimentation. I created a song based on Carmen’s La Habanera, a Hardstyle hybrid opera song with a full vocal line, and people rave to it. Only in America could this be possible. American fans just love to dance. They have been exposed to more hard dance in the local cities and this has attributed to a steady growth of the genre over the past few years. EDM is like a stream. Lots of these streams create rivers that feed into waterfalls. Q-dance shows are the waterfall and a powerful lure to attract new fans to hard dance.”

How does the current state of hard dance in America compare to when you started?“Hard dance has been sustained in the underground for many years, mainly due to the tireless efforts of the local talent. I believe that Q-dance understands the recipe for success and that makes me excited for the Hard Dance scene here in America. There is a massive potential for growth over here if approached the right way. A Q-dance show is like nothing else. I

have performed on the blue stage at a Defqon.1 in Netherlands, and I also attended Defqon.1 in Australia as a fan and I had a fantastic time. If Q-dance decides to bring Defqon.1 to America, the fans will be in for a real treat. I can say that from personal experience.”

Your ‘faithful’, who are they? What are they like?“My Faithful are my soul. Without them, the immense pressures of being a female DJ probably would have got the better of me. I owe them everything. They are my family and I try to support them in every way possible.”

You often post pictures with kandi creations in it. What’s your ‘thing’ for kandi?“I think there is a general misunderstanding about kandi. For the millions of kandi kids here in America, kandi is more than just a bright trinket or an artistic creation. It is an expression

of the desire for friendship and I support that wholeheartedly. Plus, many of my female Faithful look sexy as hell in their kandi creations. Sexy female ravers are great eye candy for my male fans too. It’s the icing on the cake.”

People in America most probably know everything about you already. For those who’ll be coming over from abroad, who’s the woman behind Lady Faith?“I am a Persian woman and that carries with it a lot of history and tradition. Being a DJ is not really compatible with that tradition. I feel that I am a trailblazer; I’m determined to live life the way I want to, not the way somebody tells me to. DJ’ing is my life. I never cut corners and I expend a ton of energy on stage. If you ever get a chance to attend my performance, prepare to dance your ass off.”

One fakes writing books for a living, while the other says he’s a ‘leprechaun farmer’ who also has a gambling habit. They’re inseparable friends, like the pug and kitten in the Japanese ‘80s movie they’re named after. Dancing Astronaut states “Milo & Otis have brewed up their own perfect storm,” being two opposite sides of the same weird and funny coin. They mash up things that seemingly can’t be mashed at all, switch from soft

to hard and back again. “You need it to be soft before it can be hard,” they tell Dancing Astronaut. It’s all about the contrast. Under the wings of the infamous OWSLA label, they’ve toured the US with names like Skrillex and Dillon ‘69’ Francis. An incredible adventure, just like the one of their namesakes in the movie – they get separated by a swirling river and chase each other, experiencing things far beyond the normal reach

of a pug and kitten. (Seriously, it’s cool, look it up!) As for Milo & Otis the DJs, they may not be chasing each other, but their current popularity has to feel like a roaring river sometimes. There are rumors of a brand new EP coming up! Today they’re smashing the OWSLA stage from 5:45 p.m. ‘till 6:45 p.m.

Few artists are so intimately entwined with the world of Tomorrow as Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. Over the last years, the two brothers have become one of the most wanted acts. Smashing the house is just one familiar way to describe their almost scientific way to turn a crowd upside down. As for the music, they’ve cranked up their productivity lately, releasing hits such as ‘Tremor’ (ft. Martin Garrix) and ‘Eparrei’ (ft. Fatboy Slim & Diplo). And they’re far from being done yet!

In what ways does TomorrowWorld differ from Tomorrowland?“Tomorrowland is a home game for us, with lots of close friends, Belgian fans and family. TomorrowWorld, however, offers not only another beautiful terrain but also a crowd that’s equally amazing. American people tend to dress up for the occasion more, although they never wear as many clothes as we’re used to. But that’s fine with us! The People of Tomorrow are always unique, whether they’re in the US or in Belgium, or anywhere else for that matter. We’ve been touring the US for several years now, and our fanbase has been growing steadily. We’re no strangers to people of this side of the world anymore.”

What’s your view on the current state of EDM in America?“We see that the popularity of EDM has been growing enormously over the past years. DJs are worshipped around these parts of the world. Even though we consider Belgium to be the birthplace of electronic music, the USA is making history on its own now. One of the results of EDM’s popularity is the way DJs collaborate with famous rap or pop artists. That’s a positive thing, we believe: more cross-overs, less boundaries.”

What do they mean by ‘experience’, when people try to describe Tomorrowland or TomorrowWorld?“Take the mainstage for instance. No doubt it’s the most beautiful stage in the world, every year again. Every little detail has carefully been thought out. Standing there as an artist, it’s just an incredible view. A sea of colorful, pumped up, beautiful people raging away in the intimate setting of the valley. Combine that with a brilliant sound system, all the lights and fireworks. That’s just pure magic.”

What has Tomorrow given you personally in all these years?“This is where it all started for us. Years ago, the guys from Tomorrowland saw us playing at one of the smaller stages. Back then, we already did remixes for Swedish House Mafia, amongst others. While we were making a name for ourselves abroad, not many people knew us in Belgium. Michiel

Beers proposed to take over our management. The year after, we made our first Tomorrowland anthem. Ever since then it has been a rollercoaster. Every day it’s another adventure, a dream we hope never to wake up from.”

Where will we be seeing to dance yourself at TomorrowWorld, after or before your own performance?“One of the things we’re definitely going to check out is our friends, Wolfpack. They’ve got a ton of new material that they’ll be playing for the first time. On our shortlist there’s Steve Aoki of course. Last but certainly not least there’s Tiësto, the master himself. We’re surely not going to miss him!”

From 2:30 p.m. ‘till 3:15 p.m., another Artist of Tomorrow takes to the stage to celebrate life with us. At the Dim Mak vs. Smash the House stage, Botnek is set to live up to some big expectations. The Canadian duo sure is up to that challenge, with a style that’s a mix of electro house, rave and techno. Ever since they won a remix competition for Dim Mak Records, they’ve been heading for an impressive career really

fast. Their first EP (‘Plonk’) got released on Discobelle Records in 2011, while their second one (‘Sriracha & Beer’) came out on Steve Aoki’s infamous imprint. For the past couple of years they’ve been traveling throughout the UK, US and Europe, spreading their tunes for everyone to fall in love with. A-Trak, Porter Robinsin, Paul Oakenfold, Tommie Trash, Zeds Dead and many other major names support Botnek to the

fullest. They must be doing something right, and that something is probably Botnek’s spectacular remixes of their big-shot supporters. Today they’ll be doing their own thing at Dim Mak. We’re sure big boss Aoki will be watching backstage, and don’t you dare miss it either. In a few years’ time, you’ll be able to say to your friends that you saw Botnek ‘before they were cool’.

OLIVER HELDENSfocUs on glorioUs sUnDAY

Oliver isn’t even 20 years old and he is already booked for the TomorrowWorld mainstage. Following the immense success of his track ‘Gecko’, life has changed very quickly for Oliver. In the beginning of this very year, he still attended school and had never ever toured as a DJ. Nowadays he’s everywhere, playing the major festivals like Creamfields, Beyond Wonderland, EDC, Tomorrowland, and its American cousin: TomorrowWorld. We tracked him down and gave him a call to see what the fuzz is all about.

If you look at how Oliver has grown out to be so popular the past year, it’s nothing short of a dream. In December 2013 he first released the original ‘Gecko’, swiftly followed by ‘Gecko (Overdrive)’ with vocals by Becky Hill in early 2014. The latter took the #1 spot in England, and has made this youngster from Rotterdam (The Netherlands) into one of the most demanded acts of the moment. Now a part of one of the biggest labels in dance music, Spinnin’ Records, his fame should be more than short-lived.

What’s Olivers secret? “Well, it’s probably because my sound is the first of its kind that’s fit to play at the big mainstages. People call it deephouse, but I don’t agree. It’s my own interpretation of that particular genre. Some call it powerhouse, deephouse, house. As an artist, I try to stay clear of such classifications. By not thinking in genres, it gives one the freedom and creativity to explore new ways to make music. It clears the road for unforeseen and exciting new combinations.” One of the charms of Oliver and his sound is that they’re both so recognizable. “What sets me apart is first and foremost the fact that my music has a certain punch to it. It has a particular energy, a unique power that appeals to the

big crowds. I guess that’s why it works so well at the major EDM festivals, where it’s all about the energy. It’s a bit hard to explain, you’ve got to experience it for yourself.”

Even though Oliver is, like many of the great names in dance music, a Dutchman, he plays abroad more often than in his home country. But when he does, it’s always a challenge. “Playing for a Dutch crowd is way harder. The people over there are more used to DJs, to the music and the lifestyle that comes with it. In contrast to America, where house music only became popular like four years ago, Holland has been familiar with electronic music for over two decades. That’s not to say I take playing abroad easier or anything, I always give one hundred percent, but it’s a different mindset you have to connect with as an artist.” But connecting with his fans isn’t a problem for Oliver, wherever he is. Many DJs often ‘disappear’ backstage after a gig, but Oliver makes it a habit to visit the

dancefloor, to say hi to and take photos with his waiting fans. In a way, he’s still ‘just’ a youngster who only recently graduated, and doesn’t possess the big superstar attitude. Maybe that’s another reason why we all adore him.

Oliver travels the world doing what he loves the most: playing music that comes straight out of the heart. There are a couple of major gigs coming up after the TomorrowWorld madness, including as Spinnin’ Sessions in Amsterdam. Curious about the next big name in dance music?
