Products are available in a wide range of finishes through ourapproved sub-contractor base, including technicalspecifications such as 851706, BS3382,851722-16 and BS lS012686. Ihese include zinc, galvanised, nickel, chrome, brass,organic finishes and plastic coating. A variety of colours orpassivations are available to enhance the appearance and

durability of the product. DuPont epoxy powder coating is

also available in almost anv colour.

Antique Bronze (AB): Bronze effect produced by chemicallyoxidizing a copper base then barrel burnished to relieve.

Brass (B): Decorative finish often with a nickel base to obtainthe best finish. Usually needs a lacquer applied to the metalsurface after finishing to maintain the brightness or lustre.

Cadmium (Cd): Silver-white deposit often used to givecorrosion resistance in harsh environments.

Chemical Black: Gives a black japan type finish when spiritlacquered or may be simply oiled and spun dried,

Chromium (Cr): Eright shiny mirror like finish providing goodcorrosion protection with good wear life.

Copper (Cu): Reddish deposit often used for its conductivityproperties.

Epoxy Paint: Dupont epoxy powder finish available in a widerange of colours.

Galvanised (Glv): Bright spangled smooth finish applied to a

mild steel base before Droducts are cut and formed from it.

Galvanised (Hot Dip): 5ilver white appearance produced bydipping the finished bracket into molten zinc producing arelatively thick finish with high corrosion protection.

lmitation Chrome: Bright economical chrome effect finishobtained by zinc plating over the top of nickel.

Nickel (Ni): Silver white decorative finish with corrosionDrotection.

Plastic/Nylon: Available in a range of standard coloursgiving a tough durable protective finish.

Iinc (Zn): Bluish-white decorative finish with a sacrificialprotective coating against atmospheric corrosion. Corrosionresistance is proportional to the thickness of the deposit andis enhanced by passivation, which removes metalliccontaminants from the surface. Clear oassivation is standardwith increased protection being obtained using black, goldand olive passivates.
