• Communicating Mathematics
• I ask students to post a link to a Jing image
and to embed a Jing image.
• Jing makes it easy for a student to ask a question about a MyMathLab
homework or a section of the online textbook.
• Jing also enables students to include graphs, charts, or pictures on their posts.
Expectations for students
Students are tested over the information!

This student uploaded a picture of his work using his phone. I used Jing to cut it out, pasted it in Journal, and filled in the missing steps.
WINDOWS JOURNAL
Windows Journal is a notetaking application, created by Microsoft and included in Windows XP Tablet PC Edition as well as Home Premium or superior editions of Windows Vista and Windows 7.
WACOM BAMBOO TABLET
Windows Journal + Wacom Bamboo table Allows me to write on the screen just as I would on paper
Creating Graphs - Winplot
Winplot is a graphing utility written and maintained by Richard Parris, a teacher at Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, New Hampshire.
It is totally free and there are a number of free tutorials available.
Wolfram Alpha is an answer engine developed by Wolfram Research and based on the computational platform Mathematica. It answers factual queries directly by computing the answer from structured data.
Wolfram|Alpha is capable of responding to particularly phrased natural-language fact-based questions, and is used by Apple's Siri for factual question answering.
Wolfram Alpha
Softchalk Makes it easy to
produce web pages and interactive learning exercises

Adobe Acrobat Pro A great way to grade
student work or make files to view on the web.
