NATIONAL WATER WEEK National Water Week is celebrated during the third week of October annually. As part of marking this important week, South Gippsland Water participates in the Annual Victorian Water Industry Association’s National Water Week Poster Competition.

Primary School students from across the region were invited to submit a poster depicting the National Water Week Theme or water in general. South Gippsland Water selects 12 posters and creates a calendar using their water wise artwork.

This year’s theme was “Water Sources: There are more than you think!” And is aimed at encouraging the community to think of other water sources and how we can use water differently to save our drinking water for just that, drinking. Congratulations to Scarlet Robson who had her poster chosen for the calendar and is represented in AUGUST 2015. Certificates and prizes were awarded to Jai Allott, Scarlet

Robson, Lexi Elmore, Callum Ross. Holley Rip, Erin Jones-Jacobson, Jodie Allott, Michael Ritchie, Tyler Underwood, Jayden Mellor, Chloe Johnston and Carly Anderson. Please enjoy your copy of the 2015 Water Week Calendar that is being sent home today with the newsletter.
