Top 5 Reasons to Get a
Ceiling Fan
1. You’re Going to Save Money
Think about it. You’re already spending money on Energy bills every day
(unless of course you live on a farm and are still riding horses to work).
The average household in the US is spending around $1,000 a year on
energy alone (see U. S. Energy Information Administration at
www.eia.gov). Are you one of millions cranking your Air Conditioning
24/7? We get it, you need to stay cool. But did you know there are ceiling
fans out there that could dramatically slice your energy costs? In fact,
there are Energy Star rated fans that will cost you less than $10 a year to
operate (like this one: http://bit.ly/EmersonAvantEco ). Yep, $10. That’s
less than lunch.
2. Go Green/Help the Planet (Captain Planet
Would Appreciate It)
Forget Earth Day. You need an Earth life. No, seriously, one
day a year makes no real difference to the Earth. It’s like
dieting for one day out of the year: that’s going to give you 0
results. But if you are looking to do the planet a solid, a ceiling
fan would go a long way. There are dozens of Eco Friendly
fans that are over 200% MORE efficient than your standard
fan. In addition, we carry Energy Star rated fans, some of
which use 75% less electricity than standard fans (like this one:
http://bit.ly/EmersonCarreraGrande ). Bottom line: if you’re
saving energy consistently, you’re helping the planet, and that’s
a good thing.
3. Beautify Your Home
Whoever said looks aren’t important was probably blind. Yes,
it’s true, looks aren’t everything, but they matter. You want
your home to look great, right? Of course you do! You want
your friends and family to visit you and drop a classic “love
what you’ve done with the place” on you. A ceiling fan is
elegant, beautiful, and appealing to the sight. There’s a reason
designers love ceiling fans. The curves on the blades are
attractive to the eye, and perhaps most importantly, you get to
use that one space that is mostly empty in your house: your
ceiling.
4. Keep Cool and Stay Warm
Wait, isn’t that a contradiction, you ask? Let us explain. We all know that
ceiling fans help you stay cool during the summer, or during random hot
days. But did you know that they can also help you stay warm in the winter?
How does that work? It’s simple. Most fans have the ability to spin in the
opposite direction by flipping a switch that’s on the motor casing. When you
do this, the blades spin in the opposite direction. This will gently draw the
room air up towards the ceiling and force the warm air down and out
towards the walls, avoiding giving you the chill effect. Now you have warm
air circulating through your house during those long winter nights. Your
A/C can’t do that, can it?
5. Give your A/C a Break
You’re one of the millions cranking your Air Conditioning
unit 24/7, aren’t you? But did you know that by getting a
ceiling fan, not only will you be able to stay cool and save
money, but you’ll also be able to prolong the life of your
A/C unit by reducing its use? That’s called a win-win-win. Or
a triple win. Either one
