EVERY year Forest Killarney Football club holds an official team photo day. This year photos will be taken on Sun-day June 23 at Melwood Oval.

A roster for the team photos has been put together so make sure that you check to see when your team will take their shot.

The roster can be found on the FKFC website—http://www.fkfc.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/Photo-Day-Roster.pdf .

The day kicks off at 7.30am with the Women’s 13/2 the first to say cheese. The last photo will be taken at 4.50pm.

With only ten minutes per team it’s important that everyone turns up on time. If you fail to meet the photo time slot, you may not get another chance to have your photo taken.

Guenter’s top tips for players MAKE THE PRE-GAME TIME PRODUCTIVE

IT’S wonderful to see all the mums and dads up at the football field. Every football playing child thanks you for that.

How can we make even more out of that time? Use all those helpers who do not hold a hot coffee in their hand to:

Practise basic skills one on one – control the ball, pass, run, dribble, juggle, balancing (make sure you have all your balls available).

Take a few kids to run towards goal, shoot and dribble back with the ball Take another group to pass and run or play 4 v 1 Somebody else to check everybody’s shoe laces – give them a stamp Take your time to oversee it all, and talk with some kids and parents one on

one to understand them better, or give them a specific task for the game.

You’ll be amazed the difference that makes. It stops everyone standing in a line waiting to kick the ball or running around the field to warm up.

There is now another good – and exciting – reason to be there early.
