EAA Picnic
The annual EAA Flying
Rotarian picnic will be held on
Wednesday, July 31 at the
Nature Center on the EAA
grounds. Admission to
AirVenture is not required.
Please make plans to attend.
Volunteers are still needed to
help cook, serve and clean up.
Contact Rick Vanderloop or
Mark Stockli for details. Food
will be served from noon to 1
p.m. The menu includes brats,
hamburgers, hot dogs, corn,
coleslaw, vegetables, chips and
beverages. Parking is free for
lunch. If you are already on the
grounds the EAA Shuttle bus
will stop at the Nature Center
upon request.
Back to School Fair
We are once again collecting
donations to help send area
students back to school with the
personal hygiene supplies they
need. Please consider making a
donation or contact Patty Shea
for more details. The back to
school fair will be held on
August 15.
Rotaract Fundraiser
Members of the Oshkosh
Rotaract Club will be manning a
brat stand at Butcher Block
Meats & Cheese, 234 N. Koeller
St., on Saturday from 10 a.m. to
2:30 p.m. Stop by for a brat or
burger and help these young
Rotarians earn some funds for
their club.

Youth Exchange chairs)
welcomed home four “rebound”
exchange students from their
time abroad including a student
who spent time in Russia after
being sponsored by our club.

Anniversary
Our 40
th anniversary celebration
is scheduled for Friday,
September 20 at the Oshkosh
Premier Waterfront Hotel. The
following day, Sept. 21, will be
our annual club golf outing.
Please make plans to celebrate
with your fellow Rotarians.
Memories Needed
The Oshkosh Southwest Rotary
40th
Anniversary Committee
needs photos and mementos
documenting the last 40 years of
our club! If you have photos,
ticket stubs, newspaper articles
or other memorabilia please get
them to Vicky Redlin, John
Lohrfeld, or Karen Fredrick.
You can submit photos (the old
fashioned kind with real film) in
an envelope with your name on
the outside and we will scan the
photo and get it back to you.
Digital photos can be sent to
If you have other items please
make a copy for us and submit
as above either via envelope or
email. Any additional
documentation you have for the
photos and memorabilia would
be greatly appreciated! A short
synopsis of the event, names of
those pictured and dates should
be included with submissions
whenever possible. All these
memories will be added to the
25th
Anniversary Booklet and
put onto a CD that each 40th
Anniversary Party attendee will
receive.
Golf Outing
The day after our big 40th
anniversary party you can hit the
links with fellow Rotarians.
We’ll be having the annual
Oshkosh Southwest Rotary Golf
Outing Saturday September 21
at Westhaven Golf Club.
Information regarding tee times
etc. will be provided at a future
meeting. For questions please

Rotary Boat Trip
The annual Southwest Rotary
boat trip is scheduled for
Wednesday, August 7. Captains
will leave from Fratello’s, tour
the waterways and return for
dinner. Contact Chet Wesenberg
to sign up for this fun outing.
Waterfest
On Thursday, August 8
Rotarians will gather at the
Leach Amphitheater for a night
of music and selling
concessions. Our annual
Waterfest fundraiser night is
scheduled for August 8.
Musical entertainment will be
provided by the Spin Doctors
(and Copper Box). We need 60
volunteers to staff the beverages
and food stands. Spouses and
friends are welcome to
volunteer. There will be two
shifts. Please sign up today or
make plans to help raise some
money at Waterfest.
