John Fisher Noon Enrichment Program

Dear Parents & Guardians:

Welcome to the John Fisher Noon Enrichment Program for students in grades 1 to 6! As nearly all of our children stay at school for lunch, the Noon Enrichment Program was developed in order to provide an indoor option for part of the lunch hour, in addition to the children’s outdoor play time. This is especially useful on rainy days or super cold days when the kids cannot go outside. The Program also enhances their playtime outside in nice weather.

All families are asked to make a contribution of $30 to support this initiative.

The Noon Enrichment Program funds are used for the following:

1. A supervised indoor space at lunchtime – for rainy days or super cold days when the kids cannot go outside, and for when kids just need a change of pace, or want a space to read or play games/do crafts with friends. The space is open to all Grades 1-6 students and is staffed by two adults. We provide board games, Lego, and arts & crafts materials for use inside. In the spring we provide balls, hula hoops, chalk, and skipping ropes for use outside.

2. A school-wide lunch for a special day during the school year (often on the day of Carnaval)

3. Sponsoring other school-wide initiatives that can help support the students during the noon hour (ex. Water bottle filling stations).
