Down The Hole Dahana provides explosives blast hole charging services using compatible explosives according to the requirements, furthermore yielding excellent result.

Blasting PT Dahana has a reliable reputation as a total blasting services provider, either for bench blasting, trench blasting, tunnel blasting, cautious blasting or underwater blasting. The previously mentioned total services comprise optimum explosives charge calculation, drill hole preparation, down the hole loading, efficient blast design, blast timing and design configuration, ground vibration, air blast and flyrock control, rock mucking, cost analysis and blast productivity.

Demolition Explosives that have exceeded their life cycle (life time) must be disposed due to their economically ineffectiveness and danger.

Explosives Mobilization PT Dahana provides explosives delivery from the supplier magazine to the end user’s, vice versa. Dahana also provides services for explosives importation and exportation.

Magazine In maximizing its explosives service, PT Dahana (Persero) is completed with very adequate magazine facilities. Explosives Composition

This activity focuses on design and

engineering of explosives composition,

especially water based emulsion. The aim

of the activity is to produce explosives

compositions with better performance and

safety to support efficient and effective

operations.

ANFO Mixer and ANFO Truck

Our ANFO Technology started in 1992 with

the implementation of Dahana’s own design

and engineering of ANFO Production facility

in Tasikmalaya and Subang with a capacity of

7,500 MTon/Shift/Year.

Based on that, further development resulted

in the design of portable and permanent

Continuous ANFO Mixer System with

capacities of 4 Ton/hour to 8 Ton/hour.

To serve large blasting customers where the

explosives loading time becomes a decisive

matter, the Energetic Material Center offers

design and engineering of ANFO Trucks with

various capaciities from 4 Ton - 8 Ton.

ANFO Truck is also equipped with Loading

Control System to increase the field

operational effectiveness. Several types and

makes of 4x4 or 6x4 trucks are available by

request.

Emulsion Process Systems

Continuing the success of the technology

transfer of Emulsion licensed products,

Dahana has extended the capabilities by

developing On Site Bulk Emulsion Plant which

had been successfully operating at more than

8 jobsites, from Karimun to the Continuous

OSP at Adaro.

Mobile Manufacturing Unit (MMU)

The increase of Bulk Emulsion explosives

consumption will increase the demand of

Bulk Emulsion Explosives which will also

increase the demand of Explosives Processing

and Delivery Equipments.

Starting with the experiences of developing

MMU for Karimun Project, the Energetic

Material Center .had recently developed

the capability to provide customers with

the Research and Engineering of Mobile

Manufacturing Unit with various design

capacities of 2 up to 20 ton.

The MMU units produced by PT Dahana

(Persero) have been tested and proven to

operate under tropical climate conditions

where ambient temperature and extreme

humidity have great impacts on the

operation of the equipments.

The main driving power of screw conveyor

and all pumping systems are designed to

operate using Hydraulic packs to achieve

high flexibility in the operation and

maintenance.

Loading Control System is adopted to

the MMU to increase the operational

effectiveness of the MMU. Several types and

makes of 4x4 or 6x6 trucks are available by

request.

Explosives Consulting

The Energetic Material Center also provides

general consultation on the explosives

fields covering explosives technology and

applications, product knowledge information,

blasting technology and also explosives

demolition.

Safety Through Design

To ensure the product output of Our

Engineering Center meets the safety

Detonator Sensitive Emulsion Explosives for Underground Coal Mining

Dayagel Permitted is a detonator sensitive emulsion explosives, p1 permitted designed for application in underground coal mining.

Due to its greater water resistance, DAYAGEL PERMITTED is particularly suitable in wet conditions where the explosives may be exposed to water for many hours before the blast is fired. While the explosives may not normally be subject

to prolonged exposure to water, tests indicate that in static water conditions, it is unaffected after 1 month of immersion.

The recommended initiator for DAYAGEL PERMITTED is a No.8 strength Permitted detonator.

Non-cap sensitive free flowing Ammonium Nitrate and Fuel Oil Base explosives.

DANFO (DAHANA ANFO) is a non-cap sensitive Ammonium Nitrate and Fuel Oil base explosives, manufactured by PT Dahana (Persero).

DANFO is suitable for charging in dry blast holes and will remain dry until initiation. It is designed to deliver high energy and used as a column charge in surface and underground mining,

quarry and general blasting work where water is not present.

The recommended priming method for DANFO is either a cap-sensitive Emulsion Explosives such as Dayagel Series or Nitroglycerine based explosives.

DABEX is a water resistant bulk emulsion explosives designed to deliver high energy in relatively high density column explosives in mining, quarrying and general blasting work. This product has been formulated to be used in a wet blast holes where water resistant charging is required and can be loaded in holes down to 100 mm of diameter, depending on the emulsion content and hole depth.

DABEX can be used by 100 % emulsion or in blend up to 40 % by weight of ANFO. Gassing of

the DABEX emulsion phase provides controlled modification of final blended product densities, detonation pressure, bulk explosives strength and gas volume.

The density of Bulk Emulsion can be varied by adding chemical gasses in accordance with the condition of the blast holes. DABEX are blended with solid particulate oxidizer salt and coated fuel oil to form a low cost explosives of excellent blasting performance.

Dayadet electric detonators are specially designed to provide precise control necessary to produce accurate and consistent blasting result. Dayadet in copper shell has a wide range of applications, for example: Open cut production blasting, underground production blasting (where no firedamp or coal dust is present), quarry blasting, and general purpose

applications. With more powerful base charge and heavier copper alloy shell, Dayadet detonators provide greater assurance of blasting initiation in severe conditions. In addition to their overall dependability, they are easy to handle and have excellent storage characteristic. They are well protected against water pressure.

FEATURE

GOOD DESIGNThe case made of abs synthetic resin is beautiful and so light and small that it is easy to carry. Morever it is a waterprof good to last under any bad situation and prevent possible misfiring owing to a shortcircuit.

RELIABILITYThe blasting machine is capable of transforming electricity from a low to high voltage with a dc-dc converter transistor unit and charging the condenser. The electric detonators will be charged by an instantaneous discharge and the blasting machine will be operated, thus they are more reliable to operate.

EASY TO HANDLEFor the purpose of preventing possible accident during operating, these blasting machines are designed to be short circuited instantaneously without the terminal hole charged, when hands are taken off.

CHARGING AND DISCHARGINGInsert the safety key into the safety switch hole and push the charge botton switch and after 5 seconds the pilot lamp will light up. After the lamp is turned on, push the fire push button switch under the condition of pushing the charge switch which will charge the terminal hole and blasting will be completed.

PERFECT SAFETY DEVICEThe blasting machine is secure and safely designed to make contact by itself. Therefore it is free from poor operation caused by corrosion of contacting parts such as the key, of which has been a problem of other products. The machines are also equipped with the circuit to prevent overcharge.

MS Connector nonelectric delay detonators are nonelectric, bidirectional, millisecond delay detonator assemblies designed to be used as detonating cord trunkline delays for blasting applications in today’s mining, quarrying and construction industries. MS Connector units consist of two nonelectric millisecond detonators factory assembled to opposite ends of an 18 inch [46 cm] length of shock

tube. Both detonators are the same delay period and each is housed in a color-coded plastic connector block designed to accept detonating cord quickly, easily and securely.MS Connector units are used to provide surface delay time between individual or multiple boreholes for blasting applications in which detonating cord is used as the primary initiation system.

PT Dahana (Persero) is appointed based on The Presidential Decree 27/1982 to provide explosives and services in accordance to the regulations.

Based on The Presidential Decree No. 125/1999, the procurement and usage of explosives is detailed in the Minister of Defense Regulation No. 36/2012 regarding Guidelines on regulation, supervision and development of explosives industry and Chief of National Police Regulation No. 2/2008 concerning supervision, control and safety of commercial explosives.

Purchase and Usage Permit (P2 Permit)Purchase of explosives can only be fulfilled if customer owns Purchase and Usage Permit (P2 Permit) issued by the National Police Chief (Kapolri) which is valid for 6 (six) months and only given to customers who already own Explosives Ownership, Authorization and Storage Permit (P3 Permit) which is also issued by the National Police Chief.

Ownership, Authorization and Storage Permit (P3 Permit)

P3 Permit is an Explosives Ownership, Authorization and Storage Permit. P3 Permit is issued by the Indonesian Police Chief and is valid for 5 (five) years in accordance to the validity of the magazine permit issued by The Directorate General of Mineral & Coal, The Directorate General of New Energy, Renewable and Conservation of Energy.

Before P2 Permit or P3 Permit is issued by the Chief of Indonesian Police, a recommendation from The Chief of regional Police (Kapolda)

is required. For projects/companies under the Directorate General of General Mining or Directorate General of Oil and Gas, aside from recommendation from the Chief of Provisional Police, a recommendation from either of the abovementioned Directorate is also required. Moreover, in order to obtain recommendation from the Chief of regional Police, a recommendation from the Regional Police (Polres) is also required.

PURCHASE

1. Customer submits written inquiry by stating the type and quantity of explosives along with the explanation on the purpose of usage.

2. Based on the material requisition, Dahana will submit quotation to the customer and if desired, Dahana may assist in preparing and completing the necessary permits.

3. After purchase agreement is reached between Dahana and the customer, the purchase requirements will be stated in the purchase order/PO or service order/SO.

4. Based on the order, Dahana will determine the procurement plan, whether it will be fulfilled from available stock, produced or imported.

5. Goods will be delivered after permit and payment requirements are met in accordance to the delivery schedule.

Explosives are extremely dangerous and sensitive, thus for the purpose of safety and security, there needs to be specific monitoring and control. Commercial explosives are various chemical products that can be used as explosives for mining work, civil work or in certain production for commercial purposes.
