Tourism at FELUTourism studies and research at FELU (Faculty of Economics University of Ljubljana) have global recognition and quality. The summary of our ultimate 4-year period include following achievements listed in 5 key areas:

• 18 papers published in tourism top journals (all SSCI and ABS listed).

• 9 tourism research projects.

• 129 students enrolled the EMTM programme – The Erasmus Mundus European Master in Tour-ism Management (EMTM) is a two-year world-class integrated programme aimed at qualifying graduates to deal with the huge challenges in contemporary tourism.

• 130 students enrolled at Tourism postgraduate programme – TedQual accredited tourism post-graduate programme.

• 6 awards: two prestige University of Ljubljana awards, Slovenian Research Agency best paper award, TTRA 2011 European chapter conference best paper award and two FELU best paper awards.

The EMTM is a fully integrated two-year joint Erasmus Mundus European Master in Tourism Man-agement Programme promoted and tailor-made by three university partners: The University of Girona (Spain), known for its research and pursuit of teaching excellence in tourism product innova-tion and destination management; the University of Southern Denmark (Denmark), internationally recognized for its research and education in the field of sustainable tourism development; and the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), renowned for its excellence in tourism policy design and tourism environmental management and economics. Each year the programme has more than 600 appli-cants, out of which we select 33 most outstanding. Students enrolled in the programme are coming from 28 non-European and 18 European countries.

EMTM

Tourism Master Programme is a two-year postgraduate program at FELU that has been TedQual accredited by UNWTO for its excellence and quality of the tourism education, training and research. The program offers an in-depth understanding of tourist operations, management, marketing, tourist development and its effects, both theoretically and through practical examples. The graduates of the Tourism master program are technically and professionally qualified to work in companies operating in the tourism market and dealing with tourism planning or policy.
