Its dimensions are so impressive it leads one to think of an unfinished cathedral. This imposing parish church was never completed; it lacks the nave. This is also where we can dream of the musicians who animate the bandstand on occasion. 6 THE BELL TOWER. Within the church walls are the hidden bells. It’s steep roved tower dates from the twelfth century fortifications and is the last remaining of six towers formerly used to defend the town. 7 THE PUBLIC GARDEN. At the foot of the old town and near the former tanner district, between two branches of the River Armance, extends a park that weaves its story in walking along its paths. Located near lock 108, close to the port, the 5 arched stone bridge is yet another sight to see in the town. 9 THE PLEASURE PORT. It used to be a commercial and industrial port. It now welcomes pleasure boats and provides an ideal starting point to discover the waterways of the region. It is also the meeting point for cyclists, hikers, and walkers. 10 ALONG THE CANAL. As always, the towpath was used by the men and animals that pulled boats. Now, go along the canal banks or bike lanes to discover the locks, the stadium, meet fishermen or simply just enjoy peacefulness in its natural setting.

on nom à Florentin, noble

6
