The Lech River all the way to Füssen is one-of-a-kind! It‘s the last wild river in the northern alpine region and as an alpine wild river is still allowed to do for long stretches what every mountain river once could – spreading out and charting its own course using its own power. Guided tour hammer mill

More than 700 years of history await you. The black-smith shop in this type is a cultural rarity in all of Tirol. Its origin dates back to the Middle Ages. It was the ar-moury for the Knights of Hohenegg (13th – 17th century).In the blacksmith shop there are 3 water wheels, a forge, 3 sledges, a camshaft, bellows, transmissions and various tools and machines to see. After the tour we’ll invite you for a hike: Climb up along the Vilsegg ruins to Salober Alm (optional snack stop) and descent along myth-enshrouded Lake Alatsee and back to the ham-mer mill.

You get to experience, up close, a fundamental aspect of our rural culture in the recently opened alpine dairy in the Musteralpe at Lake Plansee. Right on site you get an insight into artisan cheese-making, at any time through a big glass wall. Those who are particularly interested can take part in a guided tour of the produc-tion facilities every Thursday at 10:00 a.m. and get information from tenant and dairyman Horst Meus-burger about the ins and outs of cheese production – free of charge. Head out on safari

Those of you, who think that jungles are places which are far away from us, will be amazed in Pflach. Just a short walk from the village you find yourself in a river-side forest jungle. On safari with a nature park ranger, ‘armed’ with Swarovski binoculars, you pass by tranquil waters, the Tyrol Lech wild river and reed belts into the dense riverside forest jungle. There is so much to find out about the nature park and its special features.With a bit of luck and patience you might see lots of birds and other animals.

The safari is suitable for all age-groups! No previous knowledge required! Those keen on further discoveries after their safari tour can stay to visit the bird adventure path and the bird watching tower in Pflach.

Guided Museum visit

The museum ‘Im Grünen Haus’ is situated in Reutte’s Untermarkt area. The chequered history of Reutte market is shown here on an exhibition area covering some 300 m2. The salt trade and development of the town are themes, as is the history of the Franciscan monastery. The famous family of painters, the Zeillers, are represented here in valuable pictures. Works by Anna Stainer-Knittel, better known as ‘Geierwally’, are a special highlight.Did you know that Reutte is on the moon? How that came to be is something you can find out in the museum too.

We meet at the tourist information office in Reutte and walk together to the museum.

A hike around Stuiben Waterfall

Be beguiled by the dreamily beautiful waterfall and pools beneath Lake Plansee. The idyllic setting of the Stuiben Waterfall in the natural park region of Reutte makes it a popular excursion destination. Whether it is a short stroll with all the family, or to cool down on hot summer days – Stuiben Waterfall has something for everyone.

Hike with a guide from the Frauenbrünnele chapel to the Stuiben Waterfall. From the wonderful ‘pulpit’ viewing point you come to the ‘Ministersteig’ path, which brings you back to the starting point of this circular hike.

From Niederwängle our circular hike proceeds to one of the loveliest viewing points in the valley basin area – Costaries Chapel. Make the most of the opportunity to listen to the bells as they resound across the valley!It is then back via Lake Frauensee, here a leisurely stop-off in a mountain inn awaits. A dip is refreshing Lake Frauensee is tempting too.

Pretty way out: more than 9 km of riding fun through the splendid alpine world!

With the Almkopfbahn Bichlbach cable car easily up to Heiterwanger Hochalm Lodge and then with the mountain scooter via wonderful Berwangertal Valley back to the starting point.

From around 10 years, children can ride the scooter route on their own when accompanied. For younger kids from around 4 years, special tandem-scooters are available on which they can set off together with an adult.

How do I register for an event?

Registration is done either via your host, or you can register yourself via the telephone numbers provided for the respec-tive event in the programme.

The earlier you register the better. Should you not be able to take part please cancel with the respective event organiser!

With the inclined lift up to Ehrenberg Castle and to highline179

The inclined lift which will be completed as of spring 2019 negotiates the 110 m difference in altitude from Klause visitor centre to the exhibition in the hornwork, to the Ehrenberg Castle ruins and to the highline179 in about 3 minutes.This represents a major addition to the Ehrenberg Castle Ensemble and allows both young and old to use the vari-ous attractions. This allows both families with small chil-dren, prams and those with impaired mobility to take in the history of Ehrenberg and experience the thrills of the highline179.
