Towels come in many different finishes; the two mostpopular being looped terry and velour terry. If youhave to choose between the two, always choose thevelour terry style. Velour terry is flat and easier toembroider than looped terry. If you choose loopedterry, try to find a towel with small loops, since finedesign detail can get lost in the loops. A goodembroidery topper like Hide It can help youovercome this problem even with looped terry.

STEP: 4Towels come in five sizes: bath sheet, bath towel, hand towel, finger tip towel, and wash cloth. Thethree most popular sizes for embroidery are the bath, hand, and fingertip sizes. Bath sheets are too big tofold and display on a towel rack, and wash cloths areoften too small. Try to find a towel brand that offersthese different sizes. Below are shown the three sizesand the recommended design size for each.
