Jay makes a motion to suspend the rules for public comment on any town issue: J. Baisley/ M. Woolever

Jahnvi, a twelve year old resident and Girl Scout from Thames Road, Town of Poughkeepsie came forward and read the attached notice to the Town Board, and received 33 signatures on a petition that she gathered. Because Stratford Farms Development is not yet complete, the roads in the neighborhood are private and therefore the School Buses do not enter to pick up the children. There were besides Jahnvi and her Mother-two other residents present as well who had some questions for the Town Board on this matter. Jessica Lopez, Councilwoman for the 3rd ward spoke with them for several minutes on this matter. Unfortunately until the developer meets all the required terms and the Town accepts the road there is not much the Town can actually do. Suggestions were made to speak with the School District and the Developer at this time. To view the whole discussion please see the video. 09:12COW1 Discussion Kevin Marrinan Of Ginsburg Development Corp. (Supervisor) Kevin Marrinan from Ginsburg Development Corp. came in and gave the Town Board a handout which will be attached of a conceptual plan for the property. What he is looking for is the Town Center to be adjusted and a rezone on potions of the property to make the plan more feasible. At this time it is very early in the process and he was just looking for opinions from the board members. The plan is not to go beyond the creek which was part of the original plan some years ago. (Including Town Day) Ann mentions that this Sunday from 1:00-4:00 is the Peach Hill Apple Cider Ramble and Fall Festival. They will have horse drawn wagons, a maze, apple pressing and hiking and should be great fun, should the weather hold out. She also talks about the senior center and the fact that it was repainted and also on October 6th, 2018 from 11:00-2:00 is the Taste of the Senior Center to celebrate the 5th Anniversary. Come and sample some of their classes such as Zumba, Arm Chair Yoga and other classes. It will be an enjoyable event!

(INFRASTRUCTURE) NOTHING TO REPORT Jay mentions that Master Plan Review Committee has had a few meetings and would like to open it up for ideas and suggestions so they will hold some workshops for the public to come and put in their ideas -The first will be at Town Hall on September 26th, 2018 at 7:00 PM and the second will be held on October 9th, 2018 at the Library on Boardman Road, also at 7:00 PM and the third on October 11, 2018 at the Senior Center at 7:00 PM. Hel is Jahnvi. I am 12 years old. I am a girl scout, here today on the

beh ghborhood at Stratford Farms in Poughkeepsie. We are presenting

a petition to the town board to transfer two private streets,, Stratford Drive andThames Road to public roads. Once these roads are public the school buses can

drive inside the neighborhood.-Our current bus stop is almost 3/o th of a mile from our houses, which makes ithazardous and unsafe for school children.-Children have to walk up a long hill while carrying heavy backpacks every day.

-Children have to walk in bad weather, such as snow, rain, or extreme heat and

cold.-During winter months, it is dark outside when children have to walk to the school

bus in the moming and/or when they stay later for after school activities.

-Children are known to be targets of predators. In the Fall of 2017 , an unknownman followed a female child in his van when she was walking home from the

school bus. The pglice were notified.I have collecte$&Enut*.. from all our neighbors on the petition and we all urge

the town board officials to make priority to transfer Stratford Drive and Thames

Road streets from private to public. Thank you.
