2. QUESTIONS Here you have three questions that we are going to ask you at the end of the work. Copy please.1) Name two importants Galileo's inventions.2) Were and when he born and died?3)Name two important Galileo's contributions. 3. GALILEO GALILEI Galileo, was an Italian mathematician, astronomer, and philosopher who played a major role in the Scientific Revolution. His achievements include improvements to the telescope and consequent astronomical observations and support for Copernicanism. 4. HIS LIFE BORN: 15 February 1564 in Pisa, Duchy of Florence, Italy. DIED: 8 January 1642 (aged 77), in Arcetri, Grand Duchy of Tuscany, Italy.RESIDENCE: Grand Duchy of Tuscany, Italy.NATIONALITY: Italian (Tuscan).INSTITUTIONS: University of Pisa and University of Padua.NOTABLE STUDENTS: Benedetto Castelli, Mario Guiducci Vincenzo Viviani. SIGNATURE 5. CONTRIBUTIONS Galileo has been called the "father of modern observational astronomy", the "father of modern physics", the "father of science", and "the Father of Modern Science". His contributions to observational astronomy include the telescopic confirmation of the phases of Venus, the discovery of the four largest satellites of Jupiter (named the Galilean moons in his honour), and the observation and analysis of sunspots. 6. GALILEO'S INVENTIONS Some of Galileos inventions were created because Galileo needed money to support his family and help provide dowry for his sisters. Galileo also built a telescope. Another invention that Galileo worked on was a pendulum clock. 7. MATHEMATICS Galileo produced some mathematics: Galileo's paradox, which shows that there are as many perfect squares as there are whole numbers, even though most numbers are not perfect squares Galileo Galilei taught geometry in some moment of his life. His contribution to this branch of the science, is in his interest for the development of the cycloid, (curve that Galileo Galilei forms for the path of a point located on a circumference that moves for a straight line) He invented the compass of proportion, which was allowing to do with rapidity numerical calculations and to be of great usefulness up to the invention of the logarithms 8. THE END THIS IS A: HUGO's WORK WE HOPE THAT YOU HAVE LIKED THE WORK!!! BY: HUGO GMEZ BORREGO AND HUGO OCHOA MARTNEZ
