Azure IoT Hub

• Telemetry data from GPS devices published to IoT Hub and consumed by stream analytics for enriching the data and

pushing in hot and cold paths.

• Azure function is used to enrich and check geo fencing and distance details from the telemetry.

Event Hubs

• To ingest large volume of data about transactions (Packing serials, Binning, palletization, dispatch, etc.) in the plant and

warehouse.

• This data is then processed by logic app for validation and creates alerts, updates status, etc.

Storage Blob • For cold path storage of telemetry.

• Currently only used for archiving and can potentially be used for warehouse type analytics on various trips.

Cosmos DB • Telemetry data and events history are stored in cosmos DB. Only two collections are used.

Azure SQL DB• Transaction updates, master data, config, etc. are stored in SQL DB.

• To expose APIs based on the data stored in SQL and Cosmos DB consumed by Web application as well as external

parties.

• All APIs are secured through Active directory

Logic App/

Webjob • For scheduled batch jobs to send summary emails and notifications throughout the day.

Web App • To host a interactive web app built using various JS toolkits frameworks. The web app is used for capturing manual entries.

• Visualizing the collected telemetry and transaction status, alerts.

Active Directory • The web application and API use Active directory for user authentication and authorization.

• For API, we use OAuth and for web application Open ID is used.

Notification Hub • To publish messages to the truck drivers on new trips assigned and to send alerts.
