If a task does not display and needs to be added, refer to the Adding a task section. 1. Locate the project on the task sheet and enter project time in the Actual hours row on the time entry sheet. Task Sheet Time Entry Sheet 2. Click the Save button after you have completed entering your time. ACCESSING YOUR TIMESHEET

1. Open a browser and type in us.project.umn.edu\pwa

2. In the User name field, enter AD\ internet ID (x.500).

3. In the Password field, type in your internet password and click OK.

4. Under My Work on the left-hand menu, select Timesheet.

ENTERING PROJECT TIME

Your timesheet will pre-populate with the current tasks scheduled for the time period (1 week beginning on Monday) as well as administrative and system maintenance “bucket” project time. If a task does not display and needs to be added, refer to the Adding a task section.

1. Locate the project on the task sheet and enter project time in the Actual hours row on the time entry sheet.

Refer to the Submitting Project Time section if you are ready to submit your project time for the week or month.

SUBMITTING PROJECT TIME

1. Scroll to the bottom of the timeesheet to verify that you have entered the correct amount of actual hours for the time period.

2. Locate the Remaining Work column on the Task sheet and verify that you have the correct amount of remaining work hours for each task you are assigned. Update remaining work if more hours are needed on a task.

3. Notify the Project Manager if remaining work is changed by attaching a note to the task. Refer to the Entering a Note section.

4. Click the Send Timesheet button to submit time entered for the time period. This will lock your timesheet from further entry. You must click this button after entering time for each time period (i.e. if you are submitting time for an entire month you will click this button 4 times).

Note: If time was submitted prematurely and changes need to be made, the timesheet will need to be recalled. Select Manage Timesheets from the side pane and select the timesheet to be recalled and click the Recall button.

Click the Send Status button and select All Tasks to send project time before the end of the time period. This will not lock your timesheet from further entry for this time period.

ENTERING A NOTE

1. Click on the blue hyperlink for the project name.

2. Scroll down to the Notes section of the Task Detail Page. Enter the

date, your intitals and the task note and click Save.

3. Refer to the Submitting Project Time section if you are ready to

submit your project time for the week or month.

ADDING A TASK

ADDING A TASK FOR THIS TIME PERIOD: Only tasks that are scheduled for the current time period appear on your timesheet. The task needs to be added to your timesheet if you worked on it during the current time period and it does not display (e.g., you are assigned

to a task but there is 0 remaining hours so the task has fallen off your timesheet).

1. Click on the Insert Row button and select Insert Task.

2. In the Project field, select the project name from the drop-down list.

3. In the Task Hiercharchy field, select the task category from the drop-down list.

4. Select the task to add to your timesheet and click OK.

ADDING YOURSELF TO AN EXISTING TASK THAT YOU ARE NOT ASSIGNED: Note: This can only be done if you are a team member already in the plan.

1. Click on the Insert Row button and select Add Yourself to a Task.

2. In the Task Location section select the project and the summary task level from the drop-down.

3. In the Task Details section enter a start date and the estimated amount of total work.

4. In the Comments field, enter a comment about this task addition and press Send.
