They then have 4 months to repay, giving them enough time to install and be paid by the end-user. How is it different?

- Trade Finance PAYS your SUPPLIERS - Invoice Discounting/Factoring COLLECTS/ADVANCES money regarding your CUSTOMERS (So, Trade Finance is for earlier in the sales cycle, BEFORE you have started the contract)

How is Trade Finance used? -Trade Finance focuses on you (the Buyer), being able to pay your suppliers (the Sellers) anywhere in the world for their goods or services. - You demonstrate an upcoming contract to the funder, and the funder agrees to pay your key supplier(s) up front so that you can carry out the contract in terms of your cash flow. -You repay the sum in up to 4 months time, AFTER you’ve been paid by your customer

How is it different?

What is Trade Finance used for? -Many uses, you decide! It can usually be used to purchase goods and services. -Many Buyers for example use it to purchase the materials, stock or services needed prior to carrying out a contract that they have won. See next slide for examples
