Do you feel the world is broken? (We do) Do you feel the shadows deepen? (We do) But do you know that all the dark won't stop the light from getting through? (We do) Do you wish that you could see it all made new? (We do) Is all creation groaning? (It is) Is a new creation coming? (It is) Is the glory of the Lord to be the light within our midst? (It is) Is it good that we remind ourselves of this? (It is) Is anyone worthy? Is anyone whole? Is anyone able to break the seal and open the scroll? The Lion of Judah who conquered the grave, He is David's root and the Lamb who died to ransom the slave. Is He worthy? Is He worthy of all blessing and honor and glory? Is He worthy of this? He is. Does the Father truly love us? (He does) Does the Spirit move among us? (He does) And does Jesus, our Messiah, hold forever those He loves? (He does) Does our God intend to dwell again with us? (He does) From every people and tribe (People and tribe) Every nation and tongue (Every nation and tongue) He has made us a kingdom and priests to God to reign with the Son.

Anthem | Dr. Wilson, director Lord, Here Am I John Ness Beck

Lisa B. Wilson, organ | Westminster Academy Director of Fine Arts Master, Thou callest, I gladly obey; Only direct me, and I'll find Thy way. Teach me the mission appointed for me: What is my labor, and where it shall be. Master, Thou callest, and this I reply: "Ready and willing, Lord, Here am I!" Willing, my Savior, to take up the cross; Willing to suffer reproaches and loss. Willing to follow, if Thou will but lead; Only support me with grace in my need. Living or dying, I still would be Thine, Yet I am mortal while Thou art divine.

Pardon, whenever I turn from the right; Pity, and bring me again to the light! –Fannie Crosby

SERMON NOTES

1. A Life of Opposition

2. A Life of Utter Certainty

3. A Life of Joyous Mission

BIG IDEA: THE CHRISTIAN LIFE

Welcome to in-person and online worship at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church. We are truly living in uncertain times. However, Jesus says, “Do not let your hearts be troubled.”

How could He say such a thing in the midst of a world full of pain and suffering? Does He have an answer to comfort a troubled heart?

In fact, Jesus gives us the only antidote when He says, “Believe in God; believe also in me.” Jesus is calling us to believe in the One who was dead, but is now alive. If the resurrection is true, He alone has the power to redeem any circumstance. Jesus can work through anything that life has thrown your way. The world’s answer is to believe in yourself. But that doesn’t seem to offer any real hope. On the contrary, Jesus tells us to stop believing in yourself and instead believe in Him. This is real hope in a hopeless world.

So whether you’ve been a Christian for years or you’re exploring who Jesus is, I pray you are encouraged by this good news. Please let me know how Coral Ridge can serve you in the days and weeks ahead!

Forever Hopeful,

Rob Pacienza, Lead Pastor [email protected] | 954.334.5102
