THE MAGAZINE Trailrider is Australia’s top selling recreational off-road motorcycle publication, reaching more than 38,000 captive audience members per issue. In each edition of this action-packed magazine, readers are invited to go off road and get on track with Editor and bike personality Stephen “Tuffy” Tuff and the Trailrider team. Tackling everything from the biggest mud enduro in Australia to an epic 10,000km adventure ride, a weekend trail ride amongst some of the best trails in Oz or going back to school for a lesson in Trail Basics, Trailrider does it all.
WHO IS THE TRAILRIDER READER?• They are predominantly male
• 68% of our readers are aged between 30 and 50; Trailrider has appeal that crosses several generations — if Dad is reading the magazine you can be sure his son is, too
• A majority are self-employed and/or tradesmen and with 72% driving a ute; the work vehicle is doubling as bike transport. Being a tradie, or self-employed, they are blokes who aren’t afraid to work hard and play hard
WHAT ABOUT BIKES AND RIDING? • More than 97% of our readers own their own dirtbike; these readers are actively involved in riding on a regular basis
• 84% of readers will make their own basic bike repairs; they spend time on their bikes and need tools to do so.
• He lives in a rural rather than metro area (60/40 split); this makes sense as 65% of readers travel less than 100km to a weekend riding destination
WHAT ELSE DO OUR READERS DO? • Almost 50% of readers use the internet daily
• 88% of readers enjoy all motorsports either as a participant or spectator
• They love the outdoors especially fishing (52%) and camping (48%)

STEPHEN “TUFFY” TUFF, EDITORStephen “Tuffy” Tuff is just about as Trailrider as you can get! He rides, races, photographs and writes all things dirt, which makes him a rarity in the industry — and explains why the readers just can’t get enough of him. Tuffy is living the Trailrider dream and is constantly pushing man and machine to the limit as he takes on another challenge. He is not just another “bike guy” — and prides himself on delivering quality content to ensure Trailrider is a magazine that he would enjoy reading.

Frenchman Cyril Despres powers his mighty Red Bull KTM to victory in the 2010 Dakar Rally by just over an hour from his nearest rival. This was Despres’ third Dakar win after securing victories in 2005 and again in 2007. The Frenchman is a true legend of off-road racing, having also won the infamous Red Bull Romaniacs enduro on three occasions and graced the podium at Erzberg. Cyril Despres is a true all-rounder when it comes to racing a dirtbike. What a legend.
