Compatibility

Anviz devices can only support Windows system, can not be used in MAC system, and do not need any driver now(only old products which base on DSP platform need driver).

A. Is there driver for device when use in MAC system?

B. After plug device to pc via USB, prompt message “can not recognize the USB device”.

Pls try different PC with Windows system, various USB interface.

C. Why device can not find USB flash drive?

There are various USB flash drive in the market, Anviz device can not compatible with all the USB flash drive. We suggest the brands and capacity of USB flash drive in below table.

keep the fingerprint a little wet. Check the fingerprint press on right place on the sensor. Test the sensor in the “Setup”—” Hardware Test”—”Sensor”. Normal the LUM of the sensor is: 130-150. Active the “Auto Update” function in the device to keep the fingerprint template always in the latest status.

A. Why the device can not read the fingerprint ?

B. Why the user register in the device can not open the door?

Check if the user is in the right group. Group 0 can not open the door. Group 1 can open the door at any time. To some devices which have dual Relay out, check the “Relay control mode” in device menu, the relay is set to “Ring” or

“Door open”. Set the device voice to “0”, then clock on the device, listening carefully to check if there is relay open sound. If there is

no relay sound, maybe the relay or mainboard is faulty.

(1) Access Control & Time attendance devices TCP/IP/USB/RS485(2) Face pass First pls try the following password: “88888888”, “888888”, “12345” . Input *#4343# in Facepass, and there will be a random code, send this random code to us via Trouble Tickets, and we

will give you the password.

C. Forget device password

Normally the devices do not have hardware button to do factory default setting. We can do this through software : (1) Connect device with pc. (2) Open communication software. (3) “Add device” ->“Synchronize time”-> “Initialize device”,. NOTE: if you want the datas in the device, pls back up all the datas first.

D. How to set the device back to factory default?

Exceptions

If after power off and restart, time changes to a faulty time, but time keep going , pls change the button battery. If device time is slower or faster less than 3 seconds, pls adjust time by “Time Calibration” parameter in the software. If time error range is more than 3 seconds, maybe the time crystal oscillator is fauty. If the time is messy, maybe the time chip is fauty.

A. Device time issue

Dust may cover the infrared sensor or keypad. There are two holes beside the fingerprint sensor, pls use a soft cloth, first clean the surface of the holes. If this does not work, pls disassemble the device , clean the infrared sensor , and remove the keypad film, clean the keypad.

Database ruined. Need to update firmware to version 5.34.80 to repair.
