The École normale supérieure Paris-Saclay (ENS Paris-Saclay) is the Université Paris-Saclay’s rigorously selective graduate school for research and higher education careers, and upholds the highest scientific standards. As both a school and centre for research, the ENS Paris-Saclay is faithful to the Écoles normales supérieures’ tradition of excellence. Through its diploma, it provides “normaliens” 1 with bolstered research-led disciplinary training with an international and multidisciplinary outlook in the fields of fundamental sciences, humanities and social sciences, and engineering, which will lead them to a master’s degree or doctorate. In 2020, ENS Paris-Saclay move into a building designed by Renzo Piano in the Plateau de Saclay. It will reinvent itself within the Université Paris-Saclay, with new teaching and research departments, new laboratories, PhD track programmes for students, and with its research and training programmes being backed up by the opportunities provided by the cluster and the Université Paris-Saclay. By forming the Graduate school for research and higher education careers with its partners as part of the Université Paris-Saclay, the École normale supérieure Paris-Saclay fulfils its role as an ENS within an exceptional setting that responds to contemporary issues. www.ens-paris-saclay.fr/en
