About Tranquility Court

One might suppose that the name‘Tranquility’ was chosen for thisSheltered Housing development simplybecause it seemed appropriate to such aScheme. In fact it was because the landwhere it stands was once owned by aMr Bob Tranquility.

Designed to make life comfortable forolder people accommodation isarranged on three levels with a lift and wheelchair access throughout.

The complex comprises 22 purpose-builtapartments, seven which are doubles,15 are for single occupation. The one-bedroom apartments are suitablefor single occupation and doubleapartments are suitable for individualsor couples.

Tranquility Court is situated onTranquility Avenue, Cross Gates, inLeeds within easy walking distance ofall the local shops, shopping centreamenities and public transport.

Local attractions include Leeds ArtGallery and the Millennium Square,which is surrounded by some of thecity’s most important buildingsincluding the Town Hall, Civic Hall andTheatre. The Yorkshire Dales, Ilkley Moorand the Yorkshire Sculpture Park are alloutstanding locations within easy reachof the city.

Flexible Support on Your Doorstep

At Tranquility Court a dedicatedScheme Manager is available toresidents between the usual hours of9am and 3pm (Monday to Friday),providing flexible support tailored toyour individual needs.

The Manager is responsible fororganising all the cleaning andmaintenance of the building so youdon’t have to worry.

All residents receive a regular daily call to discuss possible issues or offerfriendly advice and support. Socialactivities and events are also organisedfor your enjoyment.

Our aim is to enable you to continue tolive independently in your own homeand maintain a good quality of life.

Safety & Peace of Mind

You will have no worries about security.A video door-entry system enables youto see visitors on your television andspeak to them on your phone, beforeopening the front door – all from thecomfort of your own apartment.

In the case of an emergency outside the Scheme Manager’s working hourshelp is always at hand with ouremergency call system. Pull-cords arelocated in the lounge, bedroom andbathroom and if required each tenanthas a pendant to access an alarmcontrol centre, which allows you to callfor emergency assistance at any time.

MHAManagers regularly monitor all ourhousing schemes to ensure service delivery is the very best. Staff are chosen carefully to meet the standardsrequired, regularly updating skills andknowledge to meet residents’ needs.

Where Are We?

From M1Leave the M1 at Junction 46. At thebottom of the slip road turn left ontoA63 Selby Road towards Leeds.Go straight over the first roundaboutcontinuing along the A63. At the nextroundabout take the third exit ontoA6120 (Leeds Ring Road). Continue ontothe next traffic island and approach inthe right-hand lane. Go all the wayaround the traffic island leaving at thefourth exit to travel back along theA6120 in the opposite direction(heading back towards the M1). Turnimmediately left into Austhorpe Road.

Take the second turn left intoTranquility and left again intoTranquility Avenue, Tranquility Court isat the end on the left. Limited parkingis available at the rear of the building.

From A1Leave at the A64 York/Leeds junctionand proceed on this road towards Leedscity centre. Pass Marwick Hall and Farmon your left and at the roundabout take left towards Seacroft. At the nextroundabout continue straight on and atthe Crossgates roundabout go straighton and then immediate left intoAusthorpe Road. Follow directions initalics above.
