So it doesn't matter who you are or where you are this tutorial will suit everyone. So, let's not waste our time and let us start. Materials: I already prepared some flat sheets of clay in gold, bronze and sparkly white. All clay in this video was conditioned through level #2 on my pasta machine. Instructions: So I will start with placing my clay cutters in the right position and then I will gently push them in. Let's get rid of all that excess clay and gently remove cutters from it. After that's done the first thing I will do is make the edges of all three shapes finished. For me working with flat clay is just like working with fabric. I always make sure all edges have nice stitch like finish. Now let's give each ornament a personal touch. I will start with David's star and give it more detailed look.

pcPolyzine  Video  Tutorial  Transcript:  Last  Minute  Holiday  Cards

Intro: Love,  relationship,  relatives  and  your  friends  -‐  that's  what  I  think  all  the  holidays  are  about

anyway.  Yes.  And  then  there  are  different  reasons  as  well.  :)

 Greeting  and  Opening:

Hello,  my  sweet  honey  bunnies.  Welcome  to  Mandarin  Ducky's  Creative  Corner.  Thank  you  for

joining  us  today.  Winter  season  is  on  our  doorstep  and  obviously  all  winter  beautiful  holidays

are  getting  me  personally  very  excited.  I'm  gonna  see  my  friends,  I'm  gonna  see  some  relatives,

I'm  gonna  have  some  nice  meals  and  I'm  gonna  send  some  secret  cards  to  different  people.

So  if  you  need  some  quick  tips  and  advices  on  creating  some  last  minute  cards  for  winter  holiday

season  -‐  here  I  am  to  help  you  out.  So  it  doesn't  matter  who  you  are  or  where  you  are  -‐  this

tutorial  will  suit  everyone.  So,  let's  not  waste  our  time  and  let  us  start.

Materials:

• I  already  prepared  some  flat  sheets  of  clay  in  gold,  bronze  and  sparkly  white.

• All  clay  in  this  video  was  conditioned  through  level  #2  on  my  pasta  machine.

Instructions:

So  I  will  start  with  placing  my  clay  cutters  in  the  right  position  and  then  I  will  gently  push  them

in.  Let's  get  rid  of  all  that  excess  clay  and  gently  remove  cutters  from  it.  After  that's  done  -‐  the

first  thing  I  will  do  is  make  the  edges  of  all  three  shapes  finished.  For  me  working  with  flat  clay  is

just  like  working  with  fabric.  I  always  make  sure  all  edges  have  nice  stitch  -‐  like  finish.  Now  let's

give  each  ornament  a  personal  touch.  I  will  start  with  David's  star  and  give  it  more  detailed  look.

Next,  I  will  switch  to  Snowman  and  will  add  two  little  black  clay  dots  for  eyes  and  will  make  a

tiny  black  sausage  for  mouth.  Then  I  will  create  red  little  nose  in  a  shape  of  a  carrot.  For

snowman's  hat,  we  will  need  to  use  a  small  flat  square  of  black  clay.  It's  very  easy,  just  cut  out

the  shape  of  a  hat  and  you  are  done.  I  will  also  need  to  crop  snowman's  head  to  match  the

flatness  of  his  hat.

When  that's  done,  I  will  add  some  little  black  buttons.  For  a  gingerbread  man  I  created  a  little

red  clay  stripe  for  a  mouth  and  two  little  white  dots  for  eyes  :)  And  don't  forget  about  the

buttons.  They  will  add  some  cuteness.  I  also  decorated  David's  star  with  same  easy  techniques

and  now  I  am  going  to  add  some  more  elements  with  my  texture  and  shape  tool.

So,  here  they  are.  I  think  they  look  nice  and  they  definitely  have  one  similar  style.  Let's  put  them

on  baking  tray  and  bake  them  :)  I'm  using  my  orange  silicon  baking  mat  here.  I  was  using  FIMO

EFFECT  clays  in  this  project,  so  I  will  have  to  bake  my  clay  for  30  minutes  in  110'C  /  230'F

degrees.

Now  baking  is  done  and  let's  attach  baked  decorations  to  our  cards.  I  was  lazy  and  I  went  out

and  bought  these  simple  cards  for  crafting  in  local  crafts  store.  You  should  definitely  have  some

of  these  in  your  stores  as  well,  or  just  make  them  yourself  from  colorful  paper.

I  have  this  double-‐sided  tape  here  and  I  will  use  it  to  attach  my  clay  ornaments  to  the  card.  it

will  also  give  it  a  lovely  three-‐  dimensional  effect.

You  can  go  further  and  do  more  advanced  design.  Take  gold  or  silver  gel  pen  and  draw  some

hearts,  winter  or  Christmas  pictures  on  the  front  of  the  card.  It's  entirely  up  to  you.  Feel  free  and

use  your  fantasy!  :)  This  project  is  very  cute  and  easy  to  do.  It's  perfect  for  having  fun  with  your

children.  This  way  you  can  make  last  minute  cards  for  any  occasion  as  long  as  you  have  the  right

clay  cutters.

So  we  are  all  done  guys  and  this  is  what  we  created.  I  think  this  project  is  very  cute  and  nice  and

I'm  really  happy  that  it  suits  any  kind  of  religion  or  any  kind  of  nationality  because  not  many

people  celebrate  Christmas  around  the  World  or  some  people  just  don't.  They  have  different

traditions  and  I  really  wanted  to  touch  every  of  your  hearts  and  to  give  something  a  little  bit,

you  know,  just  something  for  you  so  you  can  participate  as  well.    It  doesn't  matter  Christmas  or

what…  Love,  relationship,  relatives  and  your  friends  -‐  that's  what  I  think  all  the  holidays  are

about  anyway.  Yes.  And  then  there  are  different  reasons  as  well.  :)

So  I  hope  you  enjoyed  this  tutorial  and  it's  going  to  be  at  least  a  little  bit  helpful  for  you  guys  if

you  need  some  last  minute  cards.  And  I  see  you  guys  soon  in  the  next  videos.  Bye!  Good  Luck!
