And, it s16 read i ly - - read i ly apparent to me t ha t t h i s17 gentleman has some problems, which cause him to be18 content ious , to say the l ea s t .19 And, l im well aware of the his tory of t h i s20 case . I t goes back to 2005. I v e read I21 havenl t even sc ra tched the surface , but I read a22 l o t of pages about t h i s case . So I m not t o t a l l y23 uninformed about the background and the or ig ins of24 t h i s mat te r t ha t welre here for today.25 My sole purpose here today - - as I was

I r e a l l y be l ieve t ha t he6 has had the f ea r of God put in him with regard to7 being a r res t ed .8 He s c a l l e d me when the s h e r i f f s o f f i c e r was9 knocking on h i s door and c a l l i ng me by c e l l a t the

    10 same t ime. I spoke to t ha t s h e r i f f s of f i ce r . Thes h e r i f f s o f f i c e r sa id , i f we pick him up, h e s

    12 going to s t in the Marion County J a i l fo r two13 weeks before Hil lsborough even t h inks of coming14 over to ge t him.15 And the system be ing what t i s , Judge, and16 t h i s being a c iv i l mat te r , I have cons t ruc ted a17 proposed order , where, bas ica l ly , what I m ask ing18 counsel to agree to , and I m sure he won t , cause19 h e s defending his s ide vigorous ly , as he should, I20 want him to give Mr. Gi l l esp ie another 60 days to21 s i t , with o r without me, a t a depos i t ion22 ( inaudible) of execu t ion ; or , i f he d o e sn t do t ha t23 by August 31st , the way I wrote the order , the24 proposed order , then, Mr. Rodems can come in ex25 par t e and ge t h i s wr i t of bodi ly at tachment a l l

It s ba s i c a l ly giving him another b i t e2 a t the apple to comply.3 And the l inchp in of a l l t h i s , Judge, i s tha t ,4 for the l a s t 21 months, h e s been without counsel .5 So h e s been on the i n t e rne t . He s been l e f t to6 h i s own devices and his own - - h e s my c l i e n t and7 I v e had t h i s discuss ion with him. He s l e f t to8 his own de lus ions about the way t h i s process should9 work.

    10 He s f i na l l y been made to r e a l i z e it a i n t11 going to happen t ha t way. It s going to happen the12 way t h i s Court wants it to happen and the re i s13 no - - there i s no o ther a l t e rna t ive .14 MR RODEMS: Your Honor, we would not agree to15 t ha t .
