I had heard bits and pieces of what had gone on over the years from their mom...and a few tid bits from Brittany lastyear.... so I did have some background and was aware that they were trying to go to the courts again about their situation.

I had them nanny for me and some house cleaning so they could earn some spending money during their visit thissummer. They started to open up about how he didn't let them call their mom from Kansas for more than about 15minutes once a week and they could only call from his cell phone while he was in the room.....then they talked about howhe would always probe them if any family members gave them money and he wanted it ....and how he takes their

babysitting money...I'd never heard them open up like this before...as usually I was just around them at family re-unions.... but they were just with me and my baby during this conversation..... I felt prompted that I should record this....so I toldthem I forgot to check a text from My mother in law so I had an opportunity to hit record without them knowing what Iwas doing. They have no idea I am recording them. I later sent the recording to someone that could turn up the volumeon them and then saved it to my computer. I have tried to work on transcribing it.....it's not perfect...but I highlight the

parts I thought were important...it might not seem super significant (except the part about Sydney's Celiac and SandraDredge)...but I think put together with everything else...it shows he is not the person he clearly got the courts to believe hewas. I really didn't want to get involved and I am so busy with work and kids ....but thats why I called Trent today. Ididn't know how it could be used but would feel bad if it could have helped them.

(first recording about 10 minutes)

First half is just them talking about them taking their babysitting money and they never get to handle their own

money.having to buy clothes at the dollar store.etc. (mostly just teenage stuff)

4:25..Dani and syd are both talking and talking over each other : Hed give us 2 or 3 hour talks when hed getmad.sometimes 4 hourshed just yell at usitd get late and wed like not get our homework doneremember thatone time I went to bed at like 1 in the morning because he would not let go one night..because Brittany liked secretly

moved out and all this stuff..and your siding with your mom..and I was just likeand hes like cant you see thatand Iwas just likewell, I guess notand I just left the room and he was so madand he was like get back here(I chime inabout how he couldnt really stop her from moving out could he..everyone talking at once..) Syd laughs saying: Hes just

mad because shes not under his control anymore Dani chimes in: Yeah.

5:10 Sydni He has to control everythinglike if its not his way then its not good. You have to cook food a certainway..you have to put dishes away a certain way. He got mad Angie because she set her purse down the wrong way. Hekept yelling at her..and Im like what in the..she set her purse down the wrong way..like how do you even do that..

5:37 Dani tells Zoo story..summary : They went to the zoo and Brian wouldnt let Angie take her purse with her on the

train..Angie wanted to so she could take her phone to take pictures but brian said no and took her purse they couldntfind them for like 3 hours and Brian was so mad at Angie even though it was his fault because he wouldnt let her takeher purse and phone..

Dani: He was like so mad at Angieand then me and Sydni were like dad..you should have let her have her pursethen

he was like so mad at us because he HATES when we stand up to him and like help Angie outit was like kinda funny

though(I chime in)Dani: Well, he would of gotten mad at us but we werent at our house..we were in a zoo in apublic place so he was kinda just like.rrrrr..

6:50 Syd: when we were at ? (inaudible)she like went to the bathroom and hes like why do you need your purse with

you..shes like I have to have like a pad and stuffhes like no..and were like ?(inaudible)..your e crazy..like she can gointo the bathroom with her purse on.

(lots of talking over each other)

7:13 Dani: like when she goes somewhere by herselfhe doesnt let her take it (talking about the purse)

7:40-7:57 Syd or Dani: but like he can do whatever he wants, like when he goes into his room or somethingbutAngie..If shes ever on her phone for like 3 minuteshell go over and be like what are you doing..and hell like always

make her show him..like even its a text to a co-worker shell tell him and hell be like let me seeand its like..uuhhh

8:00-8:15 hard to hear (with background stuff going on)..but Sydney was talking about how hes constantly checkingtheir phones to see if they are recording or something.

8:15 to 10:30just more stuff about cell phones and stuff.

I got a reminder or alert or something on my phone that made it stop recordingI look at it and hit record again:

First half summary:

I ask something about if they would have them testify or meet with a physchologist..Sydney says something abouttalking about it (inaudible)..Syd :but I always want to Dani Chimes in Yeah.

Sydney talks about her defense mechanism is pushing it back and forget about because she cant remember hugechunks of her childhood.

1:40 Syndey talks about how therapy helped a little bit..she wants to go back to therapyshe thought she was ok, butwas having huge emotional problems Dani chimes in we all have like different things..(inaudible) Dani: Brittany Ithink got the worst though, because she was picked on the most.(I chime in asking if it was because she was the

oldest)Dani She would stand up for us and get the longest talks.and then as she got older and she left then we gotpicked on more..it was like really hard for her teenage years ..like sydneys age..it was so (inaudible) ..like shed have ashirt on like this (she held her hand up well above the chest, but below the neck)he make her wear a shirt that was like

this high (holding her hand all the way up to her neck).hes just being like really sicklike she was totally modest and

they always would like judge her clothes.. .something about a lacey shirt Brittany gave Sydney and Angie said youshouldnt be wearing lingerie

2:40 Syd: Angie would just say these things that were like awfuljust the ways she said the wordsDani was likeputting a piece of cheese on the sandwich and Angie was like I would do less than that, cheese is fattening I would doless than that..and Im like..what did I do to youya know (Dani : I know..and it just like ok)

3:00-3:50 they talk about how much it hurts their feelings when Angie says things to them and how much she means it

Dani :Dads comments you can just kind of ignore..like.uhh. ..thats not true..but her stuff..its just kind of sad..its likesad cuz she just like.. Syndey chimes in and they both are talking: you can tell hes lying, but shes l ike totally convincedour moms this like awful personshell be going off about our momlike your mom did this and your mom makes us payall this money..like even when we dont call her and stuff like that..just the way she says it..its like you dont even knowher. (I chime in)

4:00- just stuff about their mom and Angiethey only met once.

4:35 Angie hates her (me: angie hates your mom you meanjust because she thinks that..) Syd cuts me off Momfeels so bad for Angie, we all want to help her, yah know..(Dani agrees). Syd: she thinks shes like the source of all

problems in life pretty much

4:58 They comment that cuz he wont stop talking about her (referring to their dad talking about their mom)

5:00-6:50 they talk about how Angie was l ike the sweetest person ever and the first time they met her.how anymoreshe always in better moods when shes away from dad and just with them..Angie will say their dads the best..but she is

always a lot happier especially when she can be with Abby away from Dad.how hes always looking for some fault inher anymore and calls it out its awful ..no body should live through that..like marriages dont work that way..its notnormal..(I ask about him being mean to her)she said it used to be behind closed doors but now he just likes yells

that shes insane and thats shes crazy.

11:40 I ask them before they start playing the WII...I ask her about her celiac and if he made her eat it or just say wearent fixing you anything Sydney: At first he would make me eat cuz I was like I dont know about thistheir waslike no extra food in the house I could eat ya know..it was either like starve or (inaudible) ..they like totally ignored itand after we like.. (inaudible)..test thing Dani cuts her off: there was always things like Tuna Syd: I would tryand do that alot ya know.. Dani : oh my gosh..I just remember in Kansas, theyd get mad at you.. (they talk over eachother and both start laughing and Dani tells the story: it really funny, its so crazy that its funny, so umm, we puttubberwares in our lunch and I put 2 cans of tuna in my lunch because I was really hungry that daylaughingtheywere mad at me..she looked in the recycle bin and she said..you can only have 1 can of tuna for lunch..(cant stop

laughingsomething aboutone can of tuna is a like a mans meal.. they both imitate Angie: enough for a grownman dani: like are we a grown man? ..more laughing.. We were laughing so hard about thatit was so stupid..shelike went through the recyclables..you had more than one cad of tunaand they would put like 3 cans of tuna in their

lunch

13:40 I said something likeso he just didnt provide any extra (referring to food without gluten )Syd says: At firsthed force me..even after I brought up like wanting gluten free hed get so mad..I just stopped doing it because itwould turn into 5 hour talks about mom..Dani: if you even brought up gluten-free stuff..like recently in Kansas

..(inaudible)..starting bringing up stuff about gluten-free.. and like..oh and its good because its gluten-free cuz Id justbe thinking of Sydney.and hed get so mad at me ..(inaudible..).. into something about mom (Me: somehow thatgluten changed into your mom?) Dani: yeah, just like everything was always like against our mom..if we had aproblem like at school..like if we got a problem wrong at school..like a B that was like temporary, not even like on ourgrade report..he like get mad at it and that like after an hour of him talking id start getting about.. and then in the endit was like..your mom did this, your mom did that..your mom can go to jailand all this stuff about our mom.

14:40 Sydney talks about him raising the dosage on her meds without telling her (for ADD)..made her jittery..couldntfocus.way to muchdani says it was bad..syndeys hear t was racing..syndey says the whole day he was yelling at

Sydney says ..He got mad atme for conspiring with mom about these things, you just say you dont have ADD ..because your mom said that youwere gluten free just so she could say like you had a health problem in the courtsand I was like..no like I generallyhave stomach aches and everything like that..and he was likeSo he started talking about mom ..and I was like whatdoes this have to do with momjust listen to me..I am saying like..inaudible ..my dosage back.

16:00-18:00 summary: he hates when they get bad grades because they had perfect grades with their momthey talkabout how they had good school attendancehe keeps telling them that they only went to like 2 days of school.. ...shetalks about how Brittany and Sydney only missed a week due to the swine fluthey talk about how we know what we

did, we were there.

(not part of tape..but this might be importantI remember their mom saying something about how their dad would saythings to the court that werent true and then send her on these goose chases to go prove it and she couldnt keep up

with everythingI believe this is what they are referring to in this segment)

18:40 Dani: hes like really scared. ..like he knows hes gonna be found..thats partly why I think hes going to moveus like probably out of the country..from Kansas..(lots of conversation about moving out of the country and how itwould rock their world.) how they have kept all their moving boxes and packing stuff just in case they move again..)

20: 15 I say am surprised how he could move out there without some sort of agreement/court approval. They Talkabout how he told them not to tell their momand asks them not to tell Brittany and her he should have got introuble because he didnt tell her in advancehe told her like 24 days in advancethey didnt know if he got a courtorderunless he got a secret one because their mom didnt know about it.

22:35(I bring up the special masterSandra something -at the time I misunderstood the Special master and guardian

ad litems rolls in their situation..I knew someone was suppose to look out for the children and have court influence..but Ithink I had who they were backwards). They tell me the name Sandra Dredge I ask if they ever met herthen bring upif they ever met the guardian ad litemthey say the only time they saw him was when they changed the custody.. thenSydney brings up Sandra she wrote us a letter once..like congratulations for your good grades..and I was like I

havent ever seen you beforebut you didnt even like ask me anything.. Dani chimes in Ive only heard her namebecause like dad talks about her..hes like this is my good friend Sandra Dredgeso Im like ok..I dont trust her..(Ichime in: he calls her his good friend?)Sydney or Dani says..(they both chime in on parts..so I cant tell whose whothe entire time): yeah cuz he had all these emails from her and he left them open one day or something like that andIm like whose Sandra Dredge..and hes like ..ohh..its just my good friendthen she like sent us emails when we wereover his house..like good job on your good grades..your doing so well..I was like what the....now I dont want to dowell,I dont trust you..yeah it was just weird and some more conversation ..I bring up maybe she was trying toprove contact..as I was thinking back then that she was more the person that was supposed to be looking out for theirbest interestswhich I learn later is actually more the role of the guardian ad litem.)

24:00 Sydney says dad would tell story about his youth and now stepmom Angie tells the same story which hertherapists was really freaked out abouthow they think he only married Angie to control her..never shows any true

emotion to her.stuff like that..

I didnt realize my battery died and stopped my recording which sucks because then they talked about how cruel he isto Abby and carries her in the bedroom by gripping her thighs and they can hear her screaming in there and wont letanyone in the room with him..and more about how bad they feel about their step mom.

(Something that I noticed while transcribing thisThey didnt really know who Sandra Dredge was from their momit

was from their dad. This recording also clearly shows how much bad mouthing their dad does.then Brittany had justtold me last week how their mom shielded them from all the court stuffthat it was like living in the twilight zone

because it was her dad that was doing all the bad mouthing that he accused their mom of and yet the court believed itwas her mom doing it which she said was totally untruesomething is really messed up about this whole thing..I hopethe girls get the justice they deserve and the courts get it right this time.
