Welcome to Transform 2014! The theme of this year’s camp is Radical disciples serving this generation. We believe that an aspect of God’s heart is to enlarge our vision and equip us as individuals and churches to make a difference in our communities, our nation and our world.
It is a privilege to be welcoming some great guest speakers, who themselves are serving this generation in radical ways.
This is a family camp and we trust that you thoroughly enjoy every aspect of it – the friendship and fellowship, the worship and preaching, the inspiration and provocation, the fun and laughter and hopefully the weather!!!
It looks like we will have well over two thousand people with us on the camp.
We are praying for a fun and fantastic time for every person, every age group and every church. We are praying that everyone will have a fresh revelation of who God is and will be equipped to serve Him in this generation like never before.
This booklet should give you all the information you need about everything that is going on at Transform. We want to make the most of this time together and we are aware that, as a family camp, we all have a part to play in that. At the same time, we are very grateful for the many volunteers serving in all sorts of ways across the camp.
Thank you, in advance, for playing your part in making this a memorable last camp at Lenchwood (listen out for news of Transform 2015!). We look forward to seeing you around the camp.
God bless,
Mark & Nesta MumfordAndy & Emma Barclay-Watt

PRAyeR RooMWe experienced such a wonderful atmosphere of the presence of God in the prayer room last year at Transform that we are delighted that it’s back again for 2014.
The room will once again be located in the old barn opposite the Barns venue and it will be open for personal prayer, reflection and intercession all day (and all night!).
Each day there will be three main events: Soak: 0800–0900 every morning. A peaceful time for soaking in the presence of God. Bring a pillow and a Bible for a great start to your day!
Create: 1300–1430 every afternoon. A creative prayer session focusing on different topics each day (the Daily Update will have more info!)
Worship: 2130–2300 every nightWhen the main meeting winds down at 2130, we kick off! A time of extended worship and pursuing God’s presence. Come expecting!
There will also be some ICU sessions (check daily news sheet for times) – a time to soak in the presence of God. A prophetic team will be available to speak God’s words over your life.
The aim of this room is to increase the spiritual temperature of Transform. It will be a place to be healed, delivered, restored, to encounter, intercede, worship, cry, and pray!
MiniSTRy TeAMIf you would like to join the ministry team please attend the daily meetings at 1830 in the Barns or contact Hazel Marchment via the Info Point if you would like more info.

This year’s theme will be Time Travellers – we’ll be having an adventure travelling back in time!
Over four mornings, we will be focusing on the lives of 4 people who loved Jesus – from Joseph to Corrie Ten Boom. Because they loved God and put Him first, He chose to use them to bring blessing. But guess what? As we travel back in time, and catch up with these characters as children, we will discover that God didn’t wait for them to become adults before He used them. He brought blessing through them as CHILDREN! WOW!!... God’s heart for this generation of children is the same. He wants to bless them to be a blessing today and not wait until they enter adulthood. Each session will be packed with fun, laughter, games and crafts. Can’t wait!!

As always there is plenty of time to make new friends and play with a huge variety of indoor and outdoor activities and toys.

This year our key Bible verse is 1 Timothy 4:12, and throughout the week we will be unpacking this verse and talking about how we can serve God in our everyday lives. We will be challenged to look at our own lives and think about the way we act and what we say, and getting equipped to go out and see lives changed! So watch out people, because God uses everyone – that includes us!

The plan as it stands is to leave site at 1300 – head to Worcester, spend 2–3 hours in Worcester and come back before dinner. You will need to sign up at The Hub by filling out the form which is available both at the hub and the youth tents. These forms will explain the fine details.
Places on this trip are strictly on a first come, first served basis and they are limited as we have booked two coaches. So book early to avoid disappointment.
got it? good! leT’S go loVe A ciTy!
This year Transform is all about serving this generation. When thinking about that, the youth team decided we didn’t want to just talk about serving; we actually wanted to go and do some. So over the past few months we’ve worked with City Church Worcester and the Council to plan some ways to bless their city and on Tuesday 29th we’re going to bundle as many young people as we can onto coaches, head off site and go and love the heck out of Worcester.
We have a bunch of practical projects clearing weeds and painting fences to love on the council. Followed by a random acts of kindness challenge to love on the city of Worcester.

Accelerating GrowthLast year we received an amazing offering for the UK Development Fund of over £55,000 – praise God! The UK Team decided that we must be clear on how we invest with this great resource over the year and beyond. The goal has been to make investments in churches and individuals that will accelerate our growth and advance the 2020 vision. We are focusing on 3 main areas: Investing into churches who are planting, investing into the development of apostolic regional teams and helping to see the development of training and our Transforming Society agenda. We have made some progress and trust that we see a kingdom return on our investments in the years to come. Here are some areas we have made grants to: coalpool church PlantWe invested in the launch of a new Church plant from Walsall Community Church allowing them to rent a building on the Coalpool etstate. They are seeing a monthly growth in the numbers attending and an increased impact on the surrounding community. north east RegionThe NE region are planting into Sunderland with other church plants in the pipeline. We have created a regional fund to allow the regional apostolic team to make investments into the locations that need it. The team planting in
Sunderland have arrived and are beginning to establish themselves – pray for them in these early days. isca church ProjectWe make a specific grant to Isca Church in Exeter that has enabled them to accelerate their missional work in the Beacon Heath estate by providing for a family & children’s worker to be employed. evangelistic growthWe recognise that from time to time individual ministries require specific release to be most effective. We have agreed to fund some of Rich Colbrook’s time to work as an equipping evangelist with a particular focus on regional development and growth of evangelistic ministry. More to come:In the coming months we are hoping to invest into other church plants and people.
THiS yeAR’S offeRingWe have another oppportunity to give into the UK Development Fund during
this week. We will take an offering on Tuesday night so please consider what you will give to help accelerate
growth of the Kingdom in the UK!
Why plant churches in major urban areas? Steven Mcfarlane
Let’s look at Paul’s example. His strategy was to plant urban churches. A simple, two-fold strategy: first, he went into the largest city of the region (Acts 16:9-12), and second, he planted churches in each city (Titus 1:5 ‘appoint elders in every town’). Once Paul had done that, he could say that he had ‘fully preached’ the gospel in a region and that he had ‘no more work’ to do there (Romans 15:19-23).
Like Paul we want to do that in the North East. To do this we have a godly desire to become apostolic bases, seeing churches planted, and people released, equipped and sent. This apostolic thrust is fuelled by a prophetic call from two key prophetic words we have received.
The first prophetic word called us to a land of the three rivers and to begin to plant churches across the major towns and cities on these rivers. The next was to become a gateway to the north, this word we believe has opened up our region from Leeds upwards, to begin to see church plants in the major urban areas in the north. To this end we are or are now planning church plants in York, Darlington, Leeds, Sunderland and in the future many more…
16
Church plantingOur 2020 vision to plant churches will only succeed if we plant churches... obviously! We have been thinking about how we develop regions as the engine rooms of church planting but we are also looking to God for workers to go. This short profile on church planting gets us thinking about where to plant and how we respond to the call!
17
How do i respond to the call?Rich & Kate Colbrook
That’s a great question but perhaps we need to take a step back and ask, ‘Am I called to church planting?’ That can sometimes be a scary question to ask but it doesn’t have to be. The best church plants are done by teams so there’s no need to be the spearhead leaders first time round – be part of a team. What better way to be trained to lead your own plant in the future!
So ask yourself, ‘Am I stirred when I hear people talking about starting a new church? – Does the idea of being a pioneer excite me (even if it’s a bit daunting)?’ We start hearing the call to be part of a plant often by feeling a rise of faith when others talk, or from someone asking us if we’d like to go. It’s then time to pray and ask God to speak. And remember, there’s no harm in talking to people who are leading a plant. They’d be delighted to pray with you and you can explore together what God is saying. Once you hear the call then nothing else will satisfy; you then need to start planning. So work with others to plan, gather a team and begin to formulate a clear vision as you gear up for a fantastic adventure.

While many of us have found in nehemiah a paradigm for rebuilding the church, his aim was in fact much bigger: this radical disciple wanted nothing less than to rebuild a whole nation. Three morning Bible studies will explore the principles he adopted – and the price he paid – to be a radical disciple serving his generation. Mike beaumont is part of an Apostolic Ministry Team based in Oxfordshire. His books include the One-Stop Bible Guide and The New Lion Encyclopedia of the Bible. He was the Founding Principal of King’s School of Theology. @Oxfordauthor
church planting is a key component of our 2020 Vision and a number of churches have already planted new churches. But earlier this year God spoke to us about the game changing – it’s a new day with increased focus on planting churches that will reach lost people and impact towns and cities. These Ready, Steady, Go for Church Planting seminars are for anyone who is stirred by church planting, and thinks they may be involved in the future.
Founded by Dr kara lawman, Rewire Life Coaching use Biblical principles, neuroscience research and pastoral experience to bring great freedom to their Christian, and non-Christian clients. They are seeing lives transformed and are passionate about bringing emotional health to the church. rewirelifecoaching.com [email protected]
