• Decision Making Framework (DMF): procedure for evaluating a decision that stresses the importance of using no more steps or complexity than required for reaching a consensus.

Process for evaluating the economic feasibility of a deal/opportunity.

Before: Legacy system/process being retired. Needed to be replaced and improved.

How it works:1. Sales Reps/AM’s would continue to create/update their opportunities in the same way

they did prior to the change.

2. Dynamics would create a DMF record in the background that served as a CTA for our analysts to review and begin their processes.

3. Analysts assign an approval template and with a click of a custom ribbon button send the Opportunity information and related attachments to Flow to be routed and approved by all of those assigned in the approval template.

4. Using 2 Flows and the Approvals connector, Flow would iterate through our approvers until complete and send a final approval or reject back to Dynamics.

Benefits:1. Centralization & accessibility to information within Dynamics.

2. Faster approval process

3. Opportunity for much more process-driven development via Flow.

4. Mobilized the process (Approvers can do everything from mobile devices).

5. Improve performance / preserve system resources by running processes in Flow. A run is a run!

Multiple groups/divisions within GP –Packaging & Cellulose all using D365 CE. One centralized support desk.

Leverage a canvas app that could be distributed widely among platforms allowing users to quickly & easily reach the Dynamics Support desk.

Legacy app being sunset, needed replacement to manage and track all facility maintenance requests/approvals.

Leverage a canvas app that could be distributed widely among platforms (MS Teams, mobile/desktop devices) allowing users to submit a request and administrators to review & approve requests. Also, provided embedded Power BI dashboard for approval status & request analytics.
