WHAT IS THE HEALTH HUB VIENNA?

Ecosystem for Innovators and Entrepreneurs with a common goal: Shaping the Future of Healthcare.

What we do

Startup Accelerator At the heart of the Health Hub Vienna we offer a cutting edge tailor made acceleration program for international Health Startups. The program will run 2 times a year for 4 month and will attract 20+ high level startups from all over Europe.

(Healthcare) Innovation Ecosystem Numerous engagement activities will involve all partners of the Health Hub Vienna into interesting co-creation activities and exciting business opportunities.

Engage Corporates Corporates will have early access to high level health Start-ups getting insights into trending developments in health care, learning from/with entrepreneurs and will have the possibility to insource innovation (Part- nerships, M&A activities

Leverage Open Innovation We like the idea, that innovation can happen anywhere, even outside of corporate boundaries. A vital partner network will be the foundation of innovation driven future of Healthcare.

The Hub

A platform for open innovation and co-creation to link key Healthcare stakeholders and Start- ups with one common goal: Change of health- care through innovation and entrepreneurship. Not only the close relationship to startups offers new opportunities, so does also getting in touch with other corporate partners.

Mentorship Service Partners, Academic Partners and

independent Mentors will provide Knowledge

and Industry Expertise and will open their

networks through mentorship during

workshops and other formats.

Acceleration Program Silicone Valley startup methodes will not only help the

startups to polish their business ideas, they also build the

basis for interesting co-creation situations. During the

program the startups, mentors and corporates will run

through several moderated „design sprints“ regarding the

biggest challenges in future healthcare.

Corporate Engagement Corporate Partners will be matched with

entrepreneurs and take part in working sessions

where the business ideas of the startups will be

polished. This way the corporates get deep insight

into the participating startup projects, and discuss

future of healthcare in the frame of silicon valley

startup methods. The insights of this process will

lead to exciting new business opportunities.

Symptoma developed a digital anamesis tool as an App for tablets to be used in PremiqaMed‘s hopsiptals, based on Symptoma‘s AI. 10/2018: Analysis of potential use cases of Symptoma‘s technology in real life processes in PremiQaMed‘s hospitals. 02/2019: Symptoma presents first prototype of the digital anamnesis and symptoms questionaire based on Symptoma's artificial intelligence. 06/2019: Prototype launched in real time in PremiQaMed‘s hospitals: patients get a tablet in the waiting rooms leading to better and faster diagnosis by the doctors, easier documentation and digital health record, faster processes, less waiting time for the patients.

Sidekick Health develops serious gaming Apps based on behavioural psychology and AI to improve the healthy lifestyle. Two teams of UNIQA employees took their health into their own hands, motivated by the fun part of competing with eachother, personal coaching and content. In this life application Sidekick Health, in return, collected structured feedback and suggestions for improvement concerning the software‘s usability and integrability into daily work. Phase II focused on experiencing the improved setup and took both, the startup and the corporate, onto the next level. According to Fredrik Wendschlag (UNIQA Health & Innovation) this test also helped UNIQA‘s staff members „to become bolder in experimenting and approaching things in a different way“.
