Baby Birapaka Rajon Samuel’s Story

He is a 1 year old kid who was evaluated at

the MIOT Centre for Children Cardiac Care,

MIOT Hospitals, Chennai.

He was diagnosed with Complex Congenital

Heart Disease: Dextrocardia, Double inlet

ventricle with transposed great vessels,

severe Left AV valve stenosis, mild PS,

severe pulmonary hypertension.

He required corrective surgery in 3 stages,

the first stage of surgery: PA Banding + Atrial

Septectomy was advised immediately. Noel

Foundation stepped in and the operation

was a great success!

Baby V. Puneeth’s Story

He is 3 months old and was symptomatic. He

had been admitted in the Intensive Care Unit

@ Madras Medical Mission and was advised

for Cardiac Catherization followed by Open

Heart Surgery.

His father is a daily wage labourer (Mason)

who earns a meagre income.

His surgery was a tough one but thanks to

Noel Foundation, he made it and was back

in his mother’s arm safe and sound.

Jeevitha’s Story

She was diagnosed to have SitusInversus,

Dextrocardia, AV Concordance, Dorv, Large

Subaortic VSD, Pulmonary Atresia,

Moderate Size Secundum ASD, Moderate

sized PDA, Confluent Branch PAS, Right

Sided PA Origin Stenosis.

She was advised to undergo Cardiac

Catheterisation Test and followed by an

Open Heart Surgery (Intra Cardiac Repair

with RV to PA Conduit).

Her Mom said, “The day of the surgery was

the toughest in our lives. We handed over our

little one to the doctors knowing that we didn’t

have a choice.” On 9th September 2014

Jeevitha had successful heart surgery. She

still has a long way to go!

Master Geethank’s Story

He is 4 years old and was a case of Atrial

Septal Defect (ASD).

He was advised Open Heart Surgery. His

father is working as an ice-cream vendor and

earns around Rs.56,000/-per annum. They

couldn’t afford for his treatment.

Noel Foundation stepped in and played a

vital role in facilitating for his surgery and

after care. He is now a happy child!

Baby Kalaiselvi’s Story

She was born with large PDA with PAH and

was advised to undergo two stage open

heart surgery.

Her father is a daily wage labourer and her

mother is a housewife.

Her first stage surgery was performed

successfully on August 2018. Noel

Foundation stayed with her every step of the

way in this incredible journey!

Baby Sathika’s Story

He is 4 years old and was a case of Atrial

Septal Defect (ASD).

He was advised Open Heart Surgery. His

father is working as an ice-cream vendor and

earns around Rs.56,000/-per annum. They

couldn’t afford for his treatment.

Parimala’s Story

She a 14 years old adolescent girl who was

born with Large VSD. Due to which, she

suffered severe breathing problems, acute

pain in chest and dizziness

Doctors have recomended her an Immediate

angioplasty which was estimated around

INR 2,75,000.

Her father works as a carpenter and it was

difficult for the family to arrange such a huge

amount. Noel Foundation stepped in and

supported not only by providing financial aid

but also stayed with her throughout her

recovery journey!

Baby Meenakshi’s Story

She was evaluated at the Krishna Institute of

Medical Sciences (KIMS) hospital with a rare

birth defect which is called Heterotaxy

syndrome. Reconfiguration of the heart and

circulatory system had to be done so that the

heart functions with one ventricle known as

Fontan circulation and required three open

heart surgeries

His father is a daily wage labourer (Mason)

who earns a meagre income.

First stage surgery was done in September

2017 by Dr. Sudeep Verma at KIMS Hospital,

Hyderabad. Noel Foundation played a vital

role in helping during surgery and post-

operative care.

Rajan Samuel’s Story

He is a 31/2-year-old kid diagnosed with complex congenital heart disorders, namely: 1. Dextrocardia, 2. Double inlet ventricle with transposed great vessels, 3. Severe Left AV valve stenosis, 4. Mild PS, severe pulmonary hypertension. He had been advised to go through surgery in 3 stages.

The cost estimated for the surgery was

around INR 3,00,000. Rajan’s father works

with an NGO with an annual income of INR

90,000 only. Noel Foundation assured them

support which wakened their hopes again.

His surgery done at the MIOT Centre for

Children's Cardiac Care which was

successful. He still has a long battle ahead

but is an example of hope among the

hopeless!

Baby V. Nithya’s Story

She is 3 months old who is symptomatic and

had been admitted in the Intensive Care Unit

The child's family hails from a poor

background. Her father is a daily wage

labourer (Mason) who earns for a meagre

income

and now she is a happy child!

Baby Easwari’s Story

She ws diagnosed with TOF with Pulmonary

Atresia, Severe Cyanosis with Hyper

Cyanotic Spells. She had significant growth

and developmental delay because of

Hypoxia.

Her surgery was successfully performed at

Madras Medical Mission. Noel Foundation

supported her all along the way!

Thamizharasam’s Story

He was suffering from Congenital Heart

disease, Tetralogy of Fallot. The child

required Intra Cardiac repair which needed

an open-heart surgery.

Thamizharasam’s father is a petty shop

owner and was not able to manage the

surgery expenses of more than 3 lakhs.

Noel Foundation stepped in and played a

vital role in facilitating for his surgery and

after care. He is now on the road to recovery!

Meet the beneficiaries from Madras Medical Mission and listen to their Story

Noel Foundation helped these families with a grant towards their surgeries and also provided for their post-

operative expenses a sum of INR 15,000 – INR 25,000. The Foundation stayed with them throughout their tedious

journey and recovery period. We are proud to be part of their journey!

New Initiative!

Noel Foundation had organised a programme on the 12th of June 2019, at the Srinivasa Modern School,

Prashant Nagar Colony, Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh. Focusing mainly on addressing educating the parents as well

as the students on various social and health issues. Chittor Mayor Mrs. K. Hemalatha, Circle Inspector and Local

politicians were among the many dignitaries who attended the programme.

A total of 50 students were gifted with new school bags, books and stationery and over 10 children suffering with

various heart related issues were provided with free medicines and fruits. Apart from that, NF also extended their

help to the widows by providing them with sarees and some basic necessities as well. The event was covered by

one of the main Telugu daily newspaper Andhra Bhoomi.
