Faster ability to respond to business model pivots and shifts in data intersections

Apps decoupled from data residency- enterprise data backplane vs fragmentation

From 25k DBMS instances to an ultra MC “managed set”- PaaS apps “bind and go”

Less data replication and lower operational costs due to colocation

Position for future evolution and collocated data and compute scale (machine, etc.)

Magic mix #1: rapid, modern app dev + “always-on DBMS” + ACID compliancy

“Democratize” ultra MC, true always-on DB processing

Drive down DBMS costs, difficult vendor lock-ins and reinvest $

HPE IT & BU co-innovation and large scale, real-world HPE-on-HPE proof points

Magic mix #2: ultra MC + standard infra + private cloud deployment model

Thank you! It’s an exciting time for the NonStop system and the people who rely on it. We’re offering customers more choices than ever before . . . .

19HPE Confidential Information | Subject to change without notice

In the future, HPE NonStop plans to offer the ability toincrease cores in use across all CPUs of a VirtualizedNonStop system for temporary periods of time.

HPE Virtualized NonStop – Temporary Capacity

• Increasing or decreasing cores will be possible without any system orapplication outage.

• Cores must be provisioned up front for Nova instances to enable this capability.

• Customers will be able to increase capacity by 2 cores above the system configuration originally purchased.

2 core systems can temporarily become 4 core systems and 4 core systems can temporarily become 6 core systems.

• Customers will be able to purchase temporary capacity in advance and thenturn capacity on and off as needed.
