Opening Remarks

The Transition Advisory Team received a number of positive comments regarding the openness and the transparency of your last meeting.

Dr. Ikenberry’s remarks were direct and your discussion was candid.

Today we will continue that type of dialogue and will focus on the core functions of the university rather than the administrative or support functions.

Questions We Want to Answer…

What do we mean by "academic excellence?” How can we measure success in our research

mission? What challenges must we overcome to attain our

goals? What are the internal and external factors that will

influence our journey? What are our core strengths?
