Transitioning to High School
Without struggle, there is no progress.-Frederick Douglas
What are our goals?
To provide the most appropriate academically rigorous curriculum for each student.
To make sure that each student leaves our doors with the skills, knowledge and abilities necessary to be competitive in the 21st century workforce.
To make sure that each student has been guided toward choices that open every possible post-secondary door.
To ensure that all families are aware of post-secondary funding options and their requirements.

Keep Doors OPEN for our Students!
Make sure students have access to the most academically rigorous curriculum that they can complete successfully.
Offer a variety of Academic Electives that are recognized on the Comprehensive Course Directory.
Be aware of the changing Graduation Requirements. Advise students based on their future goals, not just on
HS graduation requirements. Make sure that we involve parents, community
members, mentors and all other stakeholders in our discussions and decisions.
Make sure that Professional School Counselors access all students throughout the year as part of an Comprehensive /Guidance Program, not just as part of the course selection process.
