2. Ensuring industry’s interest are taken into account in government decision making.

Here one encounters the first problem: there is no universally accepted definition of the hospitality industry. As Ronald Nykiel points out, “for any business that has experienced rapid development, a concise definition is virtually impossible” (Nykiel 1989:2).
