Produced and organized by the Centre for Transport Research of the University of Genoa (CIRT),theCIFI (Board of Italian Railway Engineers)andColumbia Group,whichboasts15yearsofexperienceinconsultingforandorganizingtradeshows,theeventhasaffirmeditselfastheannual reference point for the transportation and mobility industry.

Move.App Expo’s primary objective is to represent the “Italian System”with special emphasison theaspect ofnetworking with EU countries and emerging areas.To thisend,conferences and specialized workshops of an international calibrewillbecombinedwithan exhibition staged in the Museum, test driving and technical visits.Extensivefocuswillbeplacedonprovidingopportunities for debate and discussionbetween Italian and foreign public administrators responsible for governing territories and theindustry,tofosteracontinuousexchangeofideasandexperiences.

Theevent’sdefiningelementsincludethesupportitaimstoprovideto Italy’s countless leadersinthefieldofpeopleandgoodstransportation(fruitoftherequestsreceivedbythesecompaniesinrecentyears),aswellasitsopening to the public,andtheexpansionofitsexhibitiontoraiseawarenessinrelationto therewarding efforts being supported by Italy’s business operators, public administration, researchers, and industry to relaunch the sector.

Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 October:test drives, technical visits of innovative facilities and systems, and acomprehensive programme of conferences and workshops aimed atindustry professionals, engaging specially-selected figures from publicadministratorstorepresentativesfromthespheresofindustryandresearch,tobusinessoperators;• official opening plenary sessionon the themeof “The FundamentalRoleofLocalPublicTransportforMobilityinUrbanCentres:RailandRubber-tyredVehicle Integration, Interoperability andAccessibility ofServices”,attendedbytopauthoritiesandrepresentativesfromindustryleaders

TheOfficialSessionandtechnicalsessionswilltakeplaceintheimpressivehalls of themuseum, including the beautifully frescoed Sala CenacololocatedinthecloisteroftheancientmonasteryofSanVittorealCorpo,andtheSalaConteBiancamano,anauthentic reproductionof theballroomfrom the namesake ocean liner, which will host the dinner meetingscheduledfortheeveningofMonday,13October.
