(VHB) has updated three of the figures contained in Appendix C (Appendix C-24, C-25 and C-50) of the Endangered Species Biological Assessment Report (ESBA), dated January 2006, to reflect the changes in the boundaries of the Fort Florida Road and Longwood Stations. The proposed Fort Florida Road Station was not envisioned at the time of ESBA preparation and the extent and configuration of the Longwood Station has evolved over time since submittal of the ESBA. The Maitland Station configuration was also revised, but additional surveys were not necessary because the revised boundary was still within the previous study area. VHB environmental personnel conducted field surveys (during July 2007 for the Fort Florida Station and October 2007 for the Longwood Station) of these two station sites within their expanded boundaries. The revised Appendix C figures reflect the updated boundary of wetlands, native habitats and the study area. No protected species or signs (e.g., burrows) of their presence were observed during the field surveys . The proposed protected species management and mitigation measures, as outlined in the ESBA report and the original Environmental Assessment (December 2006), remain unchanged and are still appropriate and valid. No revised or additional measures should be necessary to protect listed species as a result of these station boundary changes. As requested, Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. No protected species or signs (e.g., burrows) of their presence were observed during the field surveys. The proposed protected species management and mitigation measures, as outlined in the ESBA report and the original Environmental Assessment (December 2006), remain unchanged and are still appropriate and valid. No revised or additional measures should be necessary to protect listed species as a result of these station boundary changes.
