Psychic Treament 1 Below is a bare outline of Yogi Gupta’s steps for materialization of psychic projection taken from his Two Month Course in Psychic De- velopment in Yoga and Yogic Powers, and from students’ notes from classes that he gave in psychic development. The order of the steps is important, each step prepares one for the following step. Not all the steps have been fully explained here or in the book. Several of these exercises release tremendous psychic powers and should be learned under the direction of an experienced teacher. These techniques are listed here as an aid to learning only. Steps 1-6 can be safely prac- ticed without the aid of a teacher and are good preparations for the later exercises. As additonal preparation, the breathing exer- cises described in Yoga and Long Life, Cleansing Breathing, Positive Breathing and Breathing to Calm the Mind, should be practiced for 5-10 minutes daily for 2-3 weeks before attempting steps 7-15. Be- low is a suggested timetable for learning these techniques which can be adjusted by the teacher according to the individual needs of the student: Weeks 1-2: Daily 5-10 minutes practice of Cleansing Breathing, Positive Breathing and Breathing to Calm the Mind. Read Chap- ter 39 of Yoga and Yogic Powers to prepare for the later steps. Week 3: To previous weeks’s practice add daily practice of steps 1-3. For first two days, one should repeat only AUM and the Mantra for Purification, on days 3-4 repeat AUM and both Mantra for Purification and Mantra for Unification in the proportion of 4 to 1. On days 5-6, repeat AUM and both mantras in the pro- portion of 1-2. Later on, repeat AUM and then both mantras for equal duration. Mantra for Unification should always be done in silence. 7-8. For the first three days, just add step 7, from the fourth day,incorporate step 8.

• Week 6: In addition to continuing the practice of the previousweek, under strict guidance of an experienced teacher, practicestep 9. One should not practice more than three of these pranaya-mas at a sitting and only one sitting per day. See Yoga and YogicPowers, p. 214 for details.

• Week 7: To the previous week’s practice, add practice of step 10.There are nine pranayamas in this exercise, each followed by aspecific mental exercise as described in Yoga and Yogic Powers,pp. 214-216. To start with, the student can rest as needed fora couple of minutes after each two pranayamas. Gradually withpractice the student should be able to do the whole cycle withouta break.

• Week 8: To the previous week’s practice, incorporate step 11.• Week 9: To the previous week’s practice, incorporate steps 12-13.• Week 10: To the previous week’s practice, incorporate steps 14-

15, and therafter continue whole process, called a psychic treat-ment, once per week. The treatment can be given to any thing,happening, event or circumstances. If things do not improve withas great a speed as desired by you, you can give two treatmentsin a week, at intervals of at least three days.

Note: For best results, participants are requested to be in chin mudraand wear a kusa grass ring with closed circuits in order to preventthe psychic, divine and creative energy generated by the mantras,affirmations and pranayamas from escaping.

1. AUM - The Word of God:

Repeat A-U-M, concentrating on the chakras, starting with thesound ‘A’ at the base of the spine and moving up to the sound ‘M’at the top of the head.

2. Mantram for Purification:

Recite Mantram for Purification for one short rosary or for fiveminutes. The meaning of the mantram is ‘ ‘You are pure, whetheryou are in the East or the West, repeating this purifies you internally,externally, physically, mentally and spiritually.’ ’

3. Mantram for Unification:

Silently repeat Mantram for Unification for one short rosary orfor five minutes.

4. Affirmation No. 1:

Recite Affirmation No. 1 for one short rosary or for five minutes.Meaning of affirmation is ‘ ‘I am in perfect, radiant Health, like God,I am as full of Bliss and Happiness as God is.’ ’

5. Affirmation No. 2:

Repeat each line of Affirmation No. 2 for one minute.

7. Nadi Purifier Pranayama:

Repeat Nadi Purifier Pranayama 7 times, 4-12-8. First, com-pletely exhale from both nostrils, then inhale to the count of 4through both nostrils, retain to the count of 12, using the right thumband right ring fingers to close the nostrils, exhale to the count of 8through the left nostril, concentrating on the breath while breathing,and on the Third Eye on forehead between the two eyebrows duringretention. Inhalation and exhalation should be done smoothly withno jerks. The exhalation should be so slow that you should not beable to feel it at 12-12 finger-width distance from your nose. Thereshould not be a break while practicing this pranayama. Practicingthis breathing creates throbbing in the body and changes the pulsa-tion.

8. Nadi Stimulator Pranayama:

Repeat Nadi Stimulator Pranayama 3 times by first exhaling,then inhaling from both nostrils until the breath is full and thenstart producing a humming sound like a bee, concentrating on thesound. The sound should be prolonged as long as you can to increasethe effectiveness of this pranayama.

9. Nadi Vibrator Pranayama:

Repeat Nadi Vibrator Pranayama 3 times,inhaling and exhaling from both nostrils, retainfor the count of 12. This pranayama releasestremendous psychic and mental powers into thepsychic channels. It should be strictly learnedunder the guidance of a teacher. One shouldnot do more than three of these pranayamas ata sitting, and one sitting a day.

10. Closed Circuit Pranayama:

Repeat Closed Circuit Pranayama: nine cy-cles of 3-12-6 breath using the thumb and ring finger of the righthand, each breath followed by a mental exercise. It is like gettingcontrol all over the body whenever you want to do a thing. It isestablishing a rapport all over, like an airplane before it takes off. Itis like a rehersal.

11. Psychic Current Concentration Pranayama:

Repreat Psychic Current Concentration Pranayama: sevencycles of 3-12-6 breath with mental exercise.
